Siskel & Ebert (1995)
Season 10, Episode 1
TO WONG FOO, THANKS FOR EVERYTHING JULIE NEWMAR, MAGIC IN THE WATER, THE INNOCENT, LAST OF THE DOGMEN and the HBO drama TRUMAN are the five movies reviewed on this week's episode of Siskel & Ebert. This week had one of the most interesting reviews that I've ever seen on the series and that was for LAST OF THE DOGMEN. Just listening to both Roger and Gene's review you'd think that they were calling it an awful movie that wasn't worth watching yet it got a thumbs up from both, although both went after the flaws in the movie. It's funny to think that all of the movies on this episode have pretty much been forgotten over the years and it's somewhat easy to see why with some of them including the cross-dressing comedy TO WONG FOO and MAGIC ON THE WATER, which as Ebert says, was a wannebe FREE WILLY.

- Zitate
Roger Ebert: [reviewing "Last of the Dogmen"] Boy, this is one where you give it "thumbs up" and you, then you wanna say, "Naughty thumb."
[Gene chuckles]
Roger Ebert: Because there are a LOT of things that are wrong with this picture.
