Ok so going into this show I had some high hopes it could be good I'm a huge mega Man fan so I was excited to hear they were making a Mega Man cartoon, only to find out it's a 3D animated series, I'm not a big fan of tv shows with 3D animation it's usually lazy and it just looks weird. The animation is lazy and just garbage, the voice acting is bad, and it's like the creators have never played a Mega Man game. And the 16 bit animation is eh if they used the actual sprites from the game then it would look a lot better. My rating a 1/10
It's Absolute Crap. I mean the Big pile of crap from Jurassic Park is closer to Mega Man than this show. Ignorant fools will say "This isn't for mega man fans. This is not for you. This is for kids!" BS Excuse. You have to be "Mega High!" to enjoy this show. Worst part is that the Episode I watched was written by Man of Action... The Team behind Ben 10... I would request to have the episode writing credit to Alan Smithee ASAP.
The Premise takes a massive diarrhea dump on all that is Mega Man. He's a Robot schoolboy with a tiny annoying robot that acts like a sort of symbiote. The Robot Boy transforms into Mega Man and is a "secret hero".
He's not Rock Light... His Sister is not Roll Light... Dr. Thomas Light has been hitting the Canseco Juice Real Hard... Albert Wily is NOT the villain... He's Aki Light's best friend and a ginger... DO YOU EVEN MEGA MAN!? Right now, the Anime Cutscenes in Mega Man 8 with their horrible English dub are looking like a better Mega Man show than this...
Now in the name of fairness, the voice acting is decent and whenever they go to sprite art it looks good. This should be cancelled and be remade into a proper Mega Man cartoon... Or eliminate all Mega Man references and rebrand it as something else. It could work as a "brand new IP" as a Mega Man cartoon it should be called MEGA CRAP.

Excellent for children. Although different looks than the original, it is still charming.
This animation is one of the worst animation i' ever seen.
Another Garbage kid show.
This show doesn't do anything special, each episode is painfully slow and boring, the writing is the most predictable schlock and the voice acting is grating.
Using the excuse that the show is just made for children is unhelpful. There is a plethora of children's television with real passion and creativity behind it, and to lump it in with low effort cash-grabs like this really undermines the work that goes into those shows.
Yes, kids are easily impressed by just about anything, but would a child *really* look back on this show as something memorable and important to them? Would they *really* feel a sense of nostalgia or attachment for something like this?
Similarly, complaints about the show being unfaithful to it's source material are 100% warranted. Because ask yourself; why is this show about Mega Man? If the attempt was to introduce the character/franchise to a new, younger audience, then it has failed miserably.
What's the point of "introducing" something as well established as the Mega Man series to a younger generation if almost *nothing* about it even closely resembles the original. Many fans of the franchise aren't upset that the property they love is being changed into something they don't like, they're upset because this is practically a *completely different* story, with completely different characters, with the franchise they love slapped onto it for brand recognition.
But even ignoring all of this the show doesn't hold up on it's own merits in a vacuum.
The show is a visual mess. The lighting and detail isn't the worst I've seen from shows like it, but it certainly isn't good. The character designs are a complete mess, which is especially perplexing since the original designs would have worked far better while also being less work to animate due to their simplicity.
Each episode has almost nothing going on, with the simplest and least exciting conflicts you could possibly think of. The lack of plot also means that episodes will only take place in around 2 or 3 locations each, not that any of them are pleasing to look at anyway.
A majority of the show is just filler that strings together lame joke after lame, predictable joke. I swear at least 50% of the dialogue is just padding and the other 50% are punchlines.
If you want a good show for your kids to watch, there are plenty of infinitely better options out there. If you want a show you can watch as a Mega Man fan, don't bother, it's not even remotely similar to anything else Mega Man related.
If you want to introduce the series to someone or get into it yourself...then just play the games, they haven't gone anywhere and they actually have effort put into them.
