It's a good experience watching Everest on Television screen. The story revolves around Anjali, a girl who wants her father's acceptance.
I personally love all the characters especially Sarita,Shika Amma and Tara characters which explains about unconditional Love.
Col.Abhyankar,Jagat Singh Rawat,Vidhaan and his fathers are perfect for military officers.
Though Arjun Sabarwal behaves rude with every other characters his past makes us to cry.same emotions come for Chaand
Mr.Roongta as a business tycoon played his hands very well.
A true inspiration for everyone.Awesome background music by A.R.Rahman.
Eachand every episode has a message for the viewer which is highly motivational. All over it's a great journey watching EVEREST!!!

I don't like any indian serials. Because they are too boring and I think all are same. But this show was different. I don't know why people didn't love it on that time. But it was a superb work. I loved it from beginning till the end. It's ending was perfect. It highlighted everest and everybody's ambition mostly despite highlighting Aakash and Anjali's love. Which is very good thing. I think the television viewers didn't deserve this show because the show was ahead of its time ( indian serial perspective). Indian serials are not good enough yet. But this type of works can make indian serials great. Most of the indian serials are based on love and their stories are also same. But this show has broken it. I think directors should bring more contents like this.
Everest is a heart touching TV series.
it shows what being a girl in some families feel like where parents are small minded who think that only boys can do certain things.
it gives you an impression of how Mount Everest is like and how it feels like to climb it.
The story is really touching and gets interesting as it goes ahead.
i wish this was much longer than it is and wish that a second series of this comes soon.
its not a spoiler but just a general review of what it is like.
thumbs up to the producer Ashutosh Gowariker and i hope you can keep making such TV series's

A big big Thankyou to Ashutosh Gowariker for taking out his precious time and making a TV serial, so inspiring, so straight, so precise and what not. You have done an incredible job. If the vision of the monotonous TV serials is changed and shifted to such story lines, they can achieve laurels.
The cast selected was so apt that we could get involve in the story, not only as an audience but sometimes having goosebumps when the shot was so sharp. The whole setup, the aura ,the great script and I can go on praising the efforts made. All I can wish for is to have such great series coming up on the television, a daily dose of inspiration touching our hearts :D

I have never been a fan of Indian serials, basically because most of it run way out of logic and interest. But this changed the face of it, I really got intrigued from the very first trailer but somewhere inside I had this fear that ultimately it will fall down to sub-par standards set by the daily soaps, but it did not. This show is an undertaking of the master Bollywood director Ashutosh Gowariker who made his TV debut as the producer of this show. This show is part of Star Plus's immense undertaking, "Women Empowerment". The story is about this girl named Anjali whose dream is to climb Mt.Everest in an attempt to win her father's love who had the same dream but could never achieve it. As we progress through the show the story becomes more of a "Pilgrimage" to find ones inner self, we see Anjali fighting her limitations to achieve her dream. Gowariker stated that: "The whole idea of the show actually began with an insight that what are you willing to do for your dreams?"
Its very much obvious that a great deal of research was done. The shooting took place in actual Everest Base Camp (in Nepal) and Dokriani Glacier (in India) and the actors were made to attend Mountain Climbing classes prior to the starting of the shoot. Even though it achieves what most of the Indian shows fail to do , i.e. meaningful story telling, it fails in certain aspects too. Most of the times the characters are all black and white, too romantic. Sometimes it seems a little bit too stretched, and some unnecessary sub-plots pop up occasionally. But overall it was a fresh change from the painstakingly irritating daily soaps that frequent the Indian television. I hope it is a sign of better things to come, and if it really is then the future seems bright for Indian television.
The actors have done a remarkable job though some of them are too monotonous. The director has done a fair job but he could have done better. Music for the show has been composed by none other than A.R.Rahman, and though it feels just good but sometimes it sounds too gloomy.
I recommend everyone to watch the show, it really deserves to be seen.
