As well as the aftermath of Christopher Smith killing his Multiversal double, we see more of the show's alternate reality. The sneak peek also teases A.R.G.U.S.'s mission, as they look to stop Peacemaker from inadvertently destroying the world with his pocket universe.

Peacemaker season 2 premiered on HBO Max last night, and filmmaker James Gunn has just released the show's new opening credits. Set to "Oh Lord" by Foxy Shazam, it's every bit as unique and fun as what we got when the show first launched in 2022.

As we write this, Peacemaker season 2 has 98% on Rotten Tomatoes, though critics were only given five of eight episodes. Fans have now started sharing their thoughts on the premiere, awarding it 82% on the Popcornmeter.

New episodes of Peacemaker will be released weekly, so it will be a while until we get the final scores for the DC Studios TV series.

Peacemaker season 1 took place in the Dceu and was a direct follow-up to The Suicide Squad. The second season, meanwhile, is set in the new Dcu, raising questions among fans about what is and isn't canon from that first batch of episodes.

Well, season 2 opens with a "Previously in the Dcu" recap that, for the most part, features footage from season 1. A few scenes have been reshot, with Leota Adebayo now namedropping the Justice Gang. However, the biggest surprise comes when we revisit the aftermath of Peacemaker's battle with the Butterflies.

Where the Justice League once stood—Superman, Aquaman, The Flash, and Wonder Woman—in shadow now stands the Justice Gang.

Peacemaker season 2 recently arrived on Rotten Tomatoes with 100%, but now that more verdicts have been counted (38 in total), the "Certified Fresh" series has slipped to a still-excellent 97%.

The one negative review comes from Slant Magazine. The site's critic writes, "The series may admirably connect the dots, but the results are patchy."

Still, while Peacemaker season 2 has lost its perfect score, it remains the best-reviewed superhero project from filmmaker James Gunn. Here's how his Marvel and DC movies and TV shows compare, according to the review aggregator:

The review embargo for Peacemaker season 2 has just lifted, and it looks like DC Studios' winning streak will continue after Creature Commandos and Superman.

With 28 reviews counted on Rotten Tomatoes, the show has a perfect 100% score. Most critics seem to agree that it's as good as season 1, though whether it's better remains to be seen. Many of the reviews with star ratings are mostly of the 3* - 4* variety, suggesting there's some room for improvement.

Regardless, critics get to choose "Fresh" or "Rotten" when they submit their verdicts, and with everyone so far choosing the former, Peacemaker season 2 is officially "Certified Fresh."

For comparison's sake, Peacemaker season 1 is "Certified Fresh" at 93%. The Suicide Squad, meanwhile, has a 90% score, and Superman hit the review aggregator earlier this year with 83%. DC Studios' last small-screen project, the animated Creature Commandos, is rated 95%.

While Peacemaker season 2 won't deliver the Dceu/Dcu crossover many fans imagined when that first teaser trailer dropped, John Cena has assured fans that the series is a big part of the wider Dcu narrative.

In a red carpet interview, the WWE Superstar was asked how this batch of episodes will "top" its predecessor. "You know what, I don’t think it’s about topping the last one," Cena explained. "I think it’s about, especially in the perspective of James [Gunn], and I’m speaking for somebody else now, but I think it’s about furthering the narrative, instead of stand-alone properties."

Explaining that all these movies and TV shows are now "connected," Cena continued, "So, you saw as Peacemaker show up in Superman, and I think what you see in Season 2 is just a forward of that narrative, that whole Dcu through line...it also has a lot with the Dcu going forward.

Singer/actress Brey Noelle has now confirmed that she will play White Rabbit in the second season of James Gunn's Peacemaker.

Noelle shared the news to her Instagram stories after the rumor of her casting sprang online thanks to an IMDb listing. She also commented on several other posts welcoming her to the Dcu.

In the comics, the original White Rabbit debuted in the pages of Adventures of Superman #500 back in the '90s, but the better-known incarnation of the character was a Batman baddie created by David Finch and Paul Jenkins as part of DC's New 52.

Jaina Hudson is the daughter of an American diplomat and an Indian Bollywood actress, and has the ability to duplicate herself into two separate beings. It's possible that Noelle is only playing one of these personas, although there's always a chance she will have a completely different power set in the show.

After making its World Premiere at the Nightmares Film Festival this month, Bloody Disgusting has learned that Mark Andrew Hamer’s Replicator is coming home in December.

The film will be available on demand December 10 from Cranked Up Films.

Replicator won two Nightmare awards at the Nightmares Film Festival on Sunday, including Best Supporting Performance for Brian Spangler and the “Gag Reel | FX” festival award for David Henson Greathouse for his practical special FX makeup and creature design work.
