Priscilla Presley is looking back at her marriage to Elvis Presley.

Priscilla, 78, was married to the late King of Rock and Roll from 1967 until 1973. Elvis died four years later in 1977. Together, they share daughter Lisa Marie Presley, who sadly passed in early 2023.

While promoting her new biopic Priscilla directed by Sofia Coppola, Priscilla explained why she and Elvis only had one child and why she never remarried after their divorce.

During a Q&a event in Las Vegas, Priscilla confirmed the long-standing rumor that she vowed to never get married alive as long as Elvis was alive.

“I just don’t think that he could handle that,” Priscilla said, according to People.

Despite the fact that Elvis died in 1977, Priscilla kept her promise to never remarry.

“To be honest with you, I never wanted to marry after him. I never had any desire,” Priscilla confirmed.

Priscilla Presley and Riley Keough’s settlement of Lisa Marie Presley’s estate now has formal court approval, averting what could have been a multimillion-dollar public legal battle.

Lisa Marie Presley‘s estate is being sued by a private lending company claiming the late daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley failed to make good on a $3.8 million loan.

In court documents obtained by Et, Naussany Investments & Private Lending, LLC claims Lisa Marie took out the loan in May 2018, and she used her ownership stake in Elvis Presley Enterprises and Graceland, the former home of her father in Memphis, Tennessee, as collateral. Riley Keough and her 14-year-old siblings, twins Harper and Finley Lockwood, inherited Graceland earlier this year after Lisa Marie died on Jan. 12, 2023. She was 54.

Priscilla Presley is recalling her last meeting with her daughter Lisa Marie Presley before her death just months after her grandaughter Riley Keough forked over $1 million from her mom’s estate to settle a family dispute.

“I did know there was something not right,” Priscilla told The Hollywood Reporter of her last meeting with Lisa Marie at the Chateau Marmont in L.A. after the Golden Globes. “We had just gotten there, you go down all these stairs. I tripped a little bit because I had these high heels on, and she started laughing so hard. I started laughing. We hadn’t even had a drink yet. She goes, ‘Oh my God, Mom, you can’t even have a drink.’”

Riley Keough won a bittersweet legal victory on Friday, when she was named the sole trustee of the estate of her late mother, Lisa Marie Presley.

Things were made official when a judge signed off on Riley’s June petition to approve the settlement agreement reached between her, her grandmother, Priscilla Presley, and Michael Lockwood, the Guardian Ad Litem for her two younger siblings. The settlement terms, obtained by Et back in June, will see Riley serve as the sole trustee of her mother’s estate and the sub-trusts for her sisters, 14-year-old twins Harper and Finley Lockwood.

For her part, Priscilla will serve as Trustee of the sub-trust for her son — Lisa Marie’s half-brother, Navarone Garibaldi — who will be granted 1/9 of the Trust. The remaining 8/9 of the Trust will be split among Lisa Marie’s daughters — Riley, Finley and Harper.

Riley Keough will pay her grandmother, Priscilla Presley, a $1 million lump-sum payment as a settlement that will mark the end of the battle over the estate of her late mother Lisa Marie Presley.

In addition, Keough, 34, has agreed to pay $400,000 to cover Priscilla’s legal fees after her grandmother, 78, petitioned a judge to reject a 2016 amendment to their living trust as “invalid.”

The legal dispute began just a few weeks after Lisa Marie’s death earlier this year. Because she did not make a will, her living trust was made responsible for dealing with her assets. The debate focused on an amendment that took Priscilla and her former manager Barry Siegel off as co-trustees of Lisa Marie’s Promenade Trust and made Keough and her deceased brother, Benjamin, the co-trustees.

In the docs obtained by Et, Riley petitions the court to approve the settlement agreement reached between her, her grandmother, Priscilla Presley, and Michael Lockwood, the Guardian Ad Litem for her two younger siblings. Riley will not charge for her services as trustee, which her lawyer, Justin Gold, writes “will save money that would have gone to Priscilla who was going to charge a trustee fee.” Her lawyer also states in the docs that Riley intends to safeguard and invest the money “in a manner consistent with the needs of the beneficiaries, and not influenced by the desire of a Trustee.

Priscilla Presley has spoken about the loss of her daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, on what would have been her 55th birthday.

Lisa Marie died unexpectedly on 12 January, shortly after being rushed to hospital.
