Wreckage
Wreckage Takes Place Below Ground After an Explosive Attack: A Preview
Wreckage
Tagline: "Breathe. Think. Survive." Wreckage is a thriller from director Marco Ristori (Eaters: Rise of the Dead). Developed from a screenplay by Luca Boni and A.J. Ferrara, this feature is being developed by U.S. and Canadian based production house Double Dutch International. In the film, a man trapped under rubble, in a collapsed building. A terrorist attack has just taken place and Tony (Cam Gigandet) has no memory of the tragic events. Wreckage also stars Emilie de Ravin ("Lost"). And, the film's first concept poster is hosted here. The first poster for Wreckage shows Tony. Trapped in rubble, the graphic also reveals bullet holes. Has Tony been directly targeted? The tagline: "Breathe. Think. Survive" reminds the protagonist to be in the moment. Survival might be impossible in these tight confines. The official synopsis also mentions that the central character has a cellular phone. Similar to other films, Tony has...

Mick Garris Promises ‘Outer Limits’ + ‘Mad Men’ For New Sci-Fi Flick ‘Invasion’
Moving away from horror (specifically Stephen King’s horror), writer/director Mick Garris is prepping a science fiction film called Invasion that combines elements of The Outer Limits and Mad Men, studio math-style. Most likely, that’s just because it’s set in the past and involves science fiction. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the script from A.J. Ferrara will focus on a female reporter trying to break into the male-dominated, 1960s world of newscasting, and in an attempt to be taken seriously, she stumbles upon a government secret about aliens. So maybe toss in some Anchorman and Men In Black as well. So this is what Garris is doing while no one is calling him for the Stand adaptation. Jokes aimed at a more-than-competent director aside, the title sounds pretty generic, and the premise is mildly interesting, but the most interesting aspect here is Garris returning to the big screen for only the fourth time. And...

Mick Garris Begins His Invasion
Mick Garris is switching gears for his latest film and is trading in Stephen King for a group of aliens hellbent on invading our world. Personally, we'd keep King if only for his unique ability to come up with the most left field endings for his books anyone could ever imagine.

THR reports that Garris is now making his first foray into science fiction with Invasion.

“It’s a bit of different direction for me,” says Garris, “but it’s great because I get to make a period movie but with a modern sensibility.”

Garris described Invasion as "The Outer Limits" meets "Mad Men", a time of “men in ties and hats and when you thought you could trust the government.” Yep, those days are clearly over.

The script, by A.J. Ferrara, centers on a woman reporter trying to show a male-centric newsroom that she is more than just “boobs and a skirt,...

Mick Garris Plans an Invasion
As a diehard science fiction fan, it’s always been my motto that you can never have too many alien invasion movies. Okay, that’s not necessarily true, especially in light of the last few years, which saw a slew of them, most of it from major studios. Some were better than others, but most were just … bleh. But in case you still haven’t gotten enough taste of the likes of “Battle: Los Angeles”, “Skyline”, “The Darkest Hour”, and “Battleship” (to name just a handful — trust me, there were a lot more the last couple of years), here is another one: Mick Garris plans to direct a period-set alien invasion movie called … “Invasion”. Okay, no brownie points for creativity when it comes to the title there, guys. The film itself sounds decent, though. The movie, based on a script by A.J. Ferrara, would follow a woman reporter stumbling onto...
