The ongoing musical collaboration between Talking Heads icon David Byrne and Paramore singer Hayley Williams is set to venture into as-yet-uncharted territories: animated feature adaptations of beloved Roald Dahl books.

The two — who have already recorded with one another, with Williams set to appear on Byrne’s upcoming album “Who Is the Sky?,” and have previously covered each other’s songs — have come together again to write the newly announced track “Open the Door,” set to be the end credits song for Netflix’s upcoming film “The Twits.” The streamer has now given the film a release date of Oct. 17.

Byrne has also written and produced three original songs for the film — “We’re Not Like Ev’ryone Else,” “Lullaby” and “The Problem Is You” — which will be performed by the cast.

Talking Heads frontman David Byrne and Hayley Williams of rock band Paramore have contributed to the soundtrack of Netflix’s upcoming animated adaptation of Roald Dahl’s The Twits, the streamer has announced.

Byrne has written and produced three original songs which are performed by the cast and include “We’re Not Like Ev’ryone Else,” “Lullaby,” and “The Problem Is You.”

He has also joined forces with singer-songwriter Williams on the end title song, “Open the Door,” as co-writers and performers.

The adaptation – directed and cowritten by Phil Johnston – marks the first time Dahl’s bestseller and its iconic characters Mr. and Mrs. Twit, the meanest, smelliest, nastiest people in the world, have been brought to the big screen.

Johnston is joined in the endeavor by co-directors Katie Shanahan and Todd Demong as well as co-writer Meg Favreau.

The ending of Game of Thrones shocked more than just the fans, it also took the cast by surprise. Emilia Clarke, who played Daenerys Targaryen, opened up to Entertainment Weekly about how she felt when she first read the final season’s script.

The fate of her character upset many viewers, and Clarke admitted that she had a hard time accepting it herself.

When Clarke learned that Daenerys would attack King’s Landing, killing thousands of civilians, and then be killed by Jon Snow, she couldn’t believe it. She had to read the script seven times before it sank in.

After that, she broke down and cried. She even went for a long five-hour walk to process what she was feeling. Clarke said, “What, what, what, What!? Because it comes out of f**king nowhere. I’m flabbergasted. Absolutely never saw that coming. […] I cried. And I went for a walk.

When the final season of Game of Thrones aired, the backlash was fierce. Viewers were shocked, and it turns out the cast was too.

Emilia Clarke, who played Daenerys Targaryen, told Entertainment Weekly that she was stunned when she read how her character’s story would end.

Daenerys would attack King’s Landing, kill thousands of innocent people, and then be killed herself by Jon Snow. Clarke said she had to read the script seven times just to process it.

“What, what, what, What!? Because it comes out of f**king nowhere. I’m flabbergasted. Absolutely never saw that coming,” she recalled. She said she cried and then went for a five-hour walk with blisters on her feet, asking herself, “How am I going to do this?”

When she joined the first table read for the final season, Clarke saw Kit Harington’s reaction to their last scene together. He started crying too.

In a recent interview with Awards Radar, House of the Dragon star Emma D’Arcy confirmed that the show’s creative deviation from the source will continue. They said:

I have this sort of foggy knowledge. I mean, I know where Rhaenyra is heading. Any sort of historical document tends to be deeply subjective and requires context for understanding. I feel that part of our job is to offer some of that context. But it’s funny, I wouldn’t go back to the book now, possibly until we finish this journey. House of the Dragon now needs to run its course.

Anna then learns that Jamie has a rare hereditary blood disorder, the same one that took his brother’s life. On top of that, he decides to stop all treatment and wants to live life on his own terms.

This obviously laid down the ground that he would probably die towards the end of the movie. But to the surprise of many, he does not die (not on screen at least), and we get an open ending. Towards the end, we see him and Anna making the conscious decision to treasure what time they have left.
