Tracker stars Justin Hartley as Colter Shaw, a survivalist who travels around the country collecting reward money. When not using his tracking skills to find the missing, Colter grapples with his fractured family. While he is a bit of a lone wolf, Colter works with a small team to help him get the job done.

Velma Bruin (Abby McEnany) helps run things and finds cases for Colter, while Reenie Greene (Fiona Rene) is a lawyer who gets him out of trouble and uses her connections to provide him with pertinent intel. Bobby Exley (Eric Graise) is the tech genius who hacks cameras and follows a case's digital breadcrumbs. The crime procedural is well into its second season on CBS as the network's number-one series.

CBS’s Tracker episode seven is the first episode of the season that finds Bobby working in person with Colton and Reenie on a case. Directed by Aprill Winney from a script by Ben H. Winters and Jai Franklin Sarki, episode seven – “Chicago” – will air on Sunday, March 31, 2024 at 9pm Et/Pt.

Justin Hartley stars as Colter Shaw, Fiona Rene plays Reenie Greene, and Robin Weigert is Teddi. Abby McEnany stars as Velma and Eric Graise is Bobby Exley.

“Chicago” Plot: Colter, Bobby and Reenie race against time to track down a talented Mma fighter who disappeared while trying to solve her family’s trouble with their visas.

Paramount Global has chosen the nine writers who will participate in the Paramount Writers Mentoring Program for 2024-2025. Selected in the program’s 20th year are Jamil Akim O’Quinn, Wei Ling Chang, Adrian Colón Jr., Jai Franklin Sarki, Seth Harrington, Natalie Higdon, writing team Dijorn Moss & Trinea Moss and Nick Spates.

The Paramount Office of Global Inclusion helms the program. It is an eight-month-long program that provides mentorships, career development, support and personal access to executives and the decision-making processes for new writers in television. The program’s end goal is to prepare them for a television career.

For 16 weeks, participants will attend small workshop-style meetings with showrunners, executive producers, agents, managers and development and current executives to better understand how the writing and television business works. The Next List is compiled by nominations from the thousands of managers, agents, and executives on The Coverfly and Tracking Board platforms. It features 35 selections including 31 individuals and four writing teams from film, television, and playwriting backgrounds.

Exclusive: Mentorship Matters, an initiative aimed at boosting opportunities for emerging writers of color, has announced 25 writer mentees for its 2023 program, along with participating showrunner/executive producers.

Now in its second year, Mentorship Matters was developed by showrunners committed to using their positions to advocate for and help create opportunities for writers of color. With sponsorship from Amazon and AMC Networks, the program includes a year of consistent, in-depth mentorship and creative advocacy from a committed showrunner. It also includes guidance with developing and polishing an original writing sample along with panels and seminars with high-level industry professionals. Each mentee will be paired with a participating showrunner/executive producer mentor.

In the program’s inaugural year, 14 out of 23 mentees found representation, 8 were staffed on shows including Billions (Showtime), Criminal Minds: Evolution (Paramount+), Walker: Independence (The CW), and The Power (Amazon), and 1 signed an overall deal with Sony TV Studios.
