Many years ago, when Antonia (Álvarez) found out her sister, Perla (Serradilla), was sleeping with her husband, Bernardo (Tappán), the two got in a huge argument that led to a devastating car crash. The accident left Antonia infertile, for which she blamed Perla. Seeking retribution, Antonia captured and tortured Perla — forcing Bernardo to sexually assault Perla. Sisters’ Feud on Netflix: An Insane Telenovela Tale Packed with Twists and Shocking Betrayals
Die Guerra-Fehde (2024)
If you think you’ve seen it all in Mexican telenovelas, think again. Sisters’ Feud (originally titled Las Hermanas Guerra) on Netflix is a whirlwind of drama, betrayal, and relentless plot twists. Created by José Ignacio Valenzuela, the show stars Ana Serradilla, Claudia Álvarez, and Ana Valeria Becerril and promises to take viewers on a jaw-dropping journey. Here’s a closer look at why this over-the-top drama is unlike anything you’ve seen, with all the shocking details from just the first episode.

A Tragic Beginning: A Tale of Two Sisters Torn Apart

The show starts with a high-stakes scenario right from the opening shot: a woman, Perla Guerra (Ana Serradilla), is chased on horseback through a desert by her sister, Antonia (Claudia Álvarez). Sisters’ Feud Review: Explosive Family Drama Redefined
Image
When looking at Netflix’s foreign dramas, “Sisters’ Feud” is a stunning Mexican show that breaks traditional storytelling rules. This psychological thriller, which Jose Ignacio Valenzuela created, goes against the rules of the genre by packing more emotional turns into a single episode than most shows do in a whole season.

At its core, the show is about how Perla and Antonia Guerra’s relationship is bad. It starts with a betrayal on their wedding day. It turns into a story of revenge, trauma, and moral decline that spans generations. It starts as a family argument, but it turns into a complicated web of lies, violence, and mental warfare that surprises viewers at every turn.

Valenzuela’s show stands out from Netflix’s other family stories because it doesn’t play it safe. While some foreign shows avoid controversy, “Sisters’ Feud” jumps right into the dark side, exploring themes of infertility,...

‘Sisters’ Feud’ Netflix Review: Finally, A Family Drama That’s So Bad That It Is Hilarious
Image
Now that we are approaching the tailend of one of the worst years in the history of mankind, my theory that Netflix probably asked creators from all across the globe to come up with the most bizarre crime-fueled family dramas is looking more and more solid. The streaming platform kick-started 2024 with Fool Me Once, which focused on the shenanigans of a singular posh British family. Then there was The Accident, which involved several Mexican families. So did We Were Kings. Blood Legacy and Savage Beauty highlighted the opulence and wealth of elite South African families. Despite featuring actors from Australia, Ireland, and even India, The Perfect Couple talked about the stupidity of rich American folks. And then Territory took us to the great Down Under. But the issue with all of these titles was that they were bloody boring. I mean, they were supposed to be scandalous and the plotlines...

Alejandro Nones and Carolina Miranda Reflect on Who Killed Sara? and Tease Their New Show
Image
In our Q&a series Last Call, we get down to the bottom of every last thing with some of our favorite celebs - from the last time they were starstruck to the last song they listened to. This week, Alejandro Nones and Carolina Miranda take our call.

Who Killed Sara? is one of the biggest shows to hit Netflix this year, and the cast couldn't be more thrilled about its global success. "The moment we're having, the moment the show is having around the world, is something surreal, unexpected," Alejandro Nones told Popsugar. "It makes me feel very blessed, and I'm very happy about it." Carolina Miranda expressed similar sentiments, adding, "I love it. It's fabulous . . . It's great being here and to be a part of Who Killed Sara?."

Season two of the Mexican drama series left us with a major cliffhanger, so naturally, we're all wondering whether there will be a third.

‘Who Killed Sara’s’ Manolo Cardona on Humanizing Vigilantes, Netflix’s Influence on Latino TV and Agatha Christie-style Intrigue
Image
Manolo Cardona has come a long way since “Beverly Hills Chihuahua.” The Colombian actor had a recurring stint on Netflix’s “Narcos” and has now returned to the streamer headlining one of its hottest Spanish language series: “¿Quién Mató a Sara?” (“Who Killed Sara?”).

There, he plays Álex Guzmán, an ex-convict, a hacker extraordinaire and the titular character’s brother. Cardona is by no means a stranger to being a leading man, having starred in San Sebastian International Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival and Goya Award-winning Spanish language and indie films, as well as playing notorious playboy Porfirio Rubirosa and Jesus on TV back to back. But this is the first time Cardona has entered the global stage, front and center, in a series that millions are viewing — and whose May 19 second-season drop they are eagerly awaiting.

What did you think of your character and...
