Stars: Kate Noel, Skyylar Perdomo, Sebastian Betancur, Sarah Siverson, Jayden Stith, Breck Cuddy, Tanya Champoux | Written and Directed by Terence Bernie Hines
There’s something charmingly throwback about Mauler, a slasher with indie sensibilities and a healthy dose of religious dread. Written and directed by Terence Bernie Hines, the film wears its horror influences proudly while attempting to carve out its own voice, sometimes literally. It’s not a game-changer, but for fans of grungy, low-budget horror that doesn’t pretend to be more than it is, Mauler hits enough satisfying notes to warrant the ride.
The setup is classic horror bait: five broke friends take on a viral dark web challenge that leads them into a supposedly haunted “murder house,” where they can win $25,000 by staying overnight. Of course, the house doesn’t just have a creepy backstory—it has a very real, very large, and very angry tenant.

Invinciblecreator Robert Kirman tells fans they "should be worried" about where the series' fourth season is headed.
Speaking to Deadline, Kirkman was asked to discuss the dynamic between Mark Grayson's Invincible and his younger brother, Oliver, the latter of whom shows some seriously dangerous and destructive proclivities in his own crime-fighting endeavors. "I think it's good to give Mark as many outside influences as possible," Kirkman said. "Oliver has the same dad but is from an alien world. As Mark interacts with Oliver, he gets to see how Oliver sees the world versus how Mark sees the world. So, it's an interesting contrast to see how someone who has superpowers, who shares the same father, and who lives in the same house can have a wildly different view."
"For Mark, his feelings can sometimes be scary when he seemingly agrees with some of the crazy things that Oliver is saying.

Invincible creator Robert Kirkman has teased what's to come in season 4, hinting at where Mark's (Steven Yeun) story is going and the consequences of his revelation. The end of Invincible season 3 saw Mark and Eve (Gillian Jacobs) win their battle against Conquest (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), who Mark believes he killed. In his final scene of the episode, he sits at the bedside of his brother, Oliver (Christian Convery), who was injured in the battle. He tells him he was right about killing villains when they have the chance, promising to kill anyone who harms their family again.
Speaking with Deadline, Kirkman addressed the dynamic between Mark and Oliver, explaining its importance going into Invincible season 4. He said that, while Mark didn't agree with his little brother's philosophy at first, Conquest's attack made him believe killing antagonists can be justified. Quick Links'Invincible's Is One of Prime Video's Biggest HitsThe 'Guarding the Globe Comic' Why 'Guarding the Globe' Is a No-Brainer Spin-off
Once again proving itself as the best adult animated series on TV in 2025, Invincible's third season introduced several changes during its February 6 premiere. For instance, a year-long jump occurred between seasons, with young superhero Mark Grayson, aka Invincible (Steven Yeun), turning 19. Also donning a new blue superhero suit, Mark has more heroic responsibilities as he leaves adolescence behind and enters adulthood.
Although Prime Video has already renewed Invincible for a fourth season, it's a matter of time before Robert Kirkman's rich source material and countless comic sequels and spin-offs are adapted to television. Given what has transpired in Invincible thus far, the most obvious example is Guarding the Globe, a spin-off that has already been touched on in the main series. Could Prime Video be prepping an official Invincible spin-off?...

The third season of Invincible has officially kicked off on Prime Video, and the so far the reviews are extremely positive. We found out what Mark Grayson has been doing to prepare for a Viltrumite invasion, watched the Guardians of the Globe split up, and got a gruesome death at the end of Episode 3, when Mark's little brother Oliver — the son of his father Omni-Man and Andressa, a bug woman from the planet Thraxa — brutally killed the Mauler Twins, villains who have been terrorizing our characters since the first-ever episode of the show. The world is better off without the Mauler Twins in it, but Oliver killed them with an alarming lack of remorse; whether we can chock that up to his youth or whether he's a budding sociopath remains to be seen.
We didn't get to catch up with Omni-Man himself, which is disappointing considering that he's the breakout...

With Invincible season 3 set to return in February 2025, one of the show's best duos is also scheduled to feature, having missed the second half of the previous installment. Despite its strong reputation and great reviews, the series received backlash for its two-and-a-half-year hiatus alongside a near four-month break midway through season 2, but Invincible's speedy production proves it is fixing previous mistakes. In addition to returning less than a year after its most recent episode - this time without being split into two parts -season 3 will bring back two fan favorites, as confirmed by the official trailer.

The action-packed first trailer for the third season of Prime Video's acclaimed adult animated series, Invincible, debuted during Ccxp last night, and has now been officially released online (via Toonado.com).
Like the recent poster, the trailer gives away quite a few major plot points including the fact that Mark Grayson and Cecil Steamman ultimately become enemies after some particularly shady dealings from the latter.
We also get a first look at Oliver Grayson suited-up as Kid-Omni-Man (The Mauler Twins probably shouldn't be taking this youngster quite so lightly), a brand-new villain known as Powerplex, Mark donning his new costume, and much more.

The Acolyte is the latest Star Wars project that has made its way to the screens, with director cum screenwriter Leslye Headland taming it at its helm. While the series has garnered some major critical acclaim, the general audiences and most fan views tend to differ, especially because of the controversial storyline it has followed so far — one that fans can’t help but term “woke.”

That said, Headland isn’t the only one for critics to praise and fans to curse for bringing something new like this to the table. Invincible season 2 introduces multiple villains, setting up bigger challenges for Mark and his allies. The Mauler Twins, Angstrom Levy, Doc Seismic, Atlantean Queen, Darkwing II, and the Lizard League are among the returning and new villains in season 2. Invincible season 2 features a host of villains both returning and new to oppose Mark Grayson and his allies. Despite being a show based on superhero comics, Amazon Prime's adaptation somewhat breaks the mold by introducing several antagonists rather than having Invincible season 2 include a primary villain. That said, there are several candidates for characters who could go on to prove a bigger issue for Mark rather than the various villain-of-the-week inclusions the show utilizes.

This change in Atom Eve's fate adds drama and raises the stakes for the remainder of Invincible season 2, while also setting up a potential romance.
Invincible season 2 opens in an alternate universe, and this multiverse storyline makes Atom Eve's fate even darker than it is in Robert Kirkman's comics. The main story of Invincible season 2 centers on the concept of the multiverse, and the premiere focuses on a world where Omni-Man and Mark Grayson are both villains. Given the destruction Omni-Man is capable of on his own, Mark agreeing to work with his father is catastrophic. Despite resistance cropping up, it's clear the two are unbeatable.

Naming high schools after actors isn’t anything new for animated series. Meg and Peter’s school in Family Guy has been named after both James Woods and Adam West over the course of the series’ run with both actors voicing themselves as characters as well. Where Prime Video’s Invincible differs, however, is by adding yet another layer to their version of this running joke.
The high school that Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), William (Andrew Rannells), Eve (Gillian Jacobs), and Amber (Zazie Beetz) attend is named after the actor Reginald VelJohnson, who most people will likely recognize from Die Hard and the hit show Family Matters. VelJohnson also voices a character in Invincible, but instead of playing a direct version of himself, he voices the principal of the school named after him.
To add to this self-ception, the last name of VelJohnson’s principal is Winslow, which happens to...

Prime Video's leaning into this niche, with The Boys TV show being a brutal satire on how power corrupts. In addition, the streamer is also telling the story of heroes battling horrific destinies in Invincible.

Invincible season 2 introduces Angstrom Levy, a formidable and dangerous main villain, known for his ability to create portals to multiple dimensions. Angstrom Levy's backstory involves a near-death experience caused by Invincible, leading to his disfiguration and intense hatred for the hero. Angstrom Levy possesses various powers, including teleportation, enhanced strength and durability, and a genius-level intellect, making him a challenging foe for Invincible.
Invincible season 2 is slated to premiere later this year, and the mystery surrounding its main villain, Angstrom Levy, is enough to keep audiences waiting with bated breaths. Invincible is known for its brutal depictions of gore and violence, but it also benefits from strong writing and likable characters. That said, with Angstrom Levy as the main villain for the first half of Invincible season 2, those familiar with the original comic books already know that he's a formidable and dangerous foe.

Robert Kirkman teases that Invincible season 2 will introduce villain Angstrom Levy and explore the concept of the multiverse, but promises a unique and character-based approach. The introduction of the multiverse in Invincible predates popular comic book adaptations like Spider-Verse and Flashpoint, but will have a fresh take on the concept. Kirkman aims to use the multiverse as a storytelling tool rather than just a way to showcase different versions of familiar characters, bringing a cool and exciting twist to the narrative.
With the concept becoming popular across the comic book genre, Robert Kirkman is sharing how Invincible season 2's multiverse will be different from other similar efforts. Season 2 of the animated Prime Video show will see Steven Yeun's eponymous hero and his mom, Sandra Oh's Debbie, struggling to process the shocking reveal that patriarch Omni-Man secretly had villainous intentions and has left the world. Invincible Season 2 will focus on Mark evolving and getting stronger to prepare for the return of his father, Nolan. Mark will face numerous enemies, including Titan, Battle Beast, and the Flaxans, while also dealing with personal challenges and a love triangle. The season will explore turmoil and betrayals within the Guardians team, with the Gda and Cecil potentially becoming the true authorities on Earth. Additionally, a great cosmic war with the Viltrumites will be a major storyline.
Prime Video's Invincible Season 1 helped remind fans that great superhero TV doesn't always need to be Marvel and DC. Along with The Boys, both painted a more violent picture, though, with Invincible's Mark Grayson learning about his destiny as a Viltrumite. Unfortunately, his fathe, Nolan (aka Omni-Man) turned on him at the end of the season.
Nolan revealed they were meant to prepare Earth for enslavement and assimilation by the Viltrumite Empire.
