Robert Pattinson’s Most Hated $3.3b Franchise Is Ruling Netflix Since Almost a Month
Image
A franchise famously dubbed “weird” and “cringeworthy”, The Twilight Saga has somehow clawed its way back into the mainstream space- and it’s here to stay. In a major pop culture revival, Robert Pattinson’s most famous, and possibly most hated, film franchise has become the fresh talk of the town. Since the addition of Breaking Dawn- Part 2 to Netflix on May 1st, 2025, all five Twilight films have been available for streaming, and both old & new viewers can’t stop binge-watching.

This resurgence has helped the saga lead Netflix’s Top 10 charts for nearly one whole month. With billion-dollar returns and a diehard fandom that refuses to fade, Twilight is proving that even a franchise that’s been trolled and mocked for years can outlast criticism and flourish in the digital era.

$710M Robert Pattinson Movie He Still Gets Trolled Over Is Dominating Streaming Charts
Image
The Twilight Saga movie series, which made Robert Pattinson a household name, did not age well among fans. Despite earning huge worldwide, cinephiles and critics still hate the movies for several reasons. But despite so much trolling, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, the second movie in the franchise, dominates in the latest streaming charts.

When ranked among the movies, The Twilight Saga: New Moon is still considered among the worst. From Robert Pattinson and the other cast’s performance to the problematic storyline, the movie has little to no positive aspects. Surprisingly, its streaming status tells a different story.

Twilight Star Details Never-Before-Seen Special Blooper Reel Entirely Focused On Kristen Stewart For 1 Hilarious Reason
Image
The Twilight Saga had its fair share of memorable moments on screen, but one star reveals an entire blooper reel dedicated entirely to Kristen Stewart's most hilarious outtakes. While viewers are used to seeing Stewart's portrayal of Bella Swan as brooding and intense, it seems that behind the scenes the actor had plenty of candid, unfiltered moments. The star, who has since moved on to critically acclaimed roles in films like Spencer and Love Lies Bleeding, has always been candid about her experiences in Twilight, and this blooper reel would only further showcase her fun and self-aware personality.

Twilight actors Jackson Rathbone, Peter Facinelli, and Ashley Greene had a recent conversation with Collider at Indiana Comic Con, where Rathbone revealed the existence of an eight-minute Twilight blooper reel dedicated to Kristen Stewart's curse-filled outtakes that audiences will likely never get to see. According to the Jasper actor, the...

Twilight Actor Discusses Kristen Stewart's R-Rated Blooper Reel That Fans Will Never Get To See
Image
The Twilight Saga is primarily known for the love triangle between Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). However, despite the teenage melodrama in the story, the vibe behind the scenes was very different.

During an appearance at Indiana Comic Con, Jackson Rathbone said things often got very R-rated during filming. The production team even put together a special screening of a blooper reel featuring a montage of expletives used by Stewart every time she messed up her lines. "There was one time where they put out a special blooper screening. I think this is for Breaking Dawn or Eclipse, where it was just every time Kristen curses. It was like, when she's messing up her lines. It's like eight minutes long. It is amazing," he said via Collider.

Although several Twilight blooper reels have been released over the years, this particular reel was...

The Making of ‘Twilight’ Was Funny, But We’ll Probably Never See It
Image
And while the Twilight film series has more or less become a thing of the past, it still has a devoted fandom, and it remains one of the most popular teen romance series of all time. The movies, while not loved by the critics, also have a solid following, which is why we’ve decided to write up this report.

Namely, during a recent talk with the press at the Indiana Comic Con, cast members Jackson Rathbone, and Ashley Greene revealed that there is a very interesting blooper reel featuring Kristen Stewart we’ll probably never see, but also that the filming process was quite funny.

As far as the blooper reel is concerned, Rathbone revealed that it featured scenes of Kristen Stewart cursing, mainly because she forgot the lines of a particular scene. “There was one time where they put out a special blooper screening—I think this is...

Jackson Rathbone’s Childhood Influenced an Iconic Twilight Saga Scene [Exclusive]
Image
The Twilight saga is full of unforgettable moments, but one of its most iconic scenes came in the first movie, when the romance between Kristen Stewart's Bella Swan and Robert Pattinson's Edward Cullen was just heating up. The scene in question arose when Edward turned up to take Bella on a date, only to be greeted by Charlie Swan, Bella's father, with a shotgun. As it turns out, that moment was actually inspired by Jackson Rathbone’s real-life experiences. While speaking to Collider's Maggie Lovitt at Indiana Comic Con, Rathbone, who played Jasper Hale, revealed that the scene stemmed from a story he told Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke about his own father’s approach to meeting his sisters’ boyfriends.

The Twilight saga has cemented itself in pop culture history, but behind the brooding stares and dramatic love triangles, the set was often a place of hilarity—and a fair share of slip-ups, some of which turned the Forks, Washington air blue. At Indiana Comic Con, Collider’s Maggie Lovitt spoke with Jackson Rathbone, Peter Facinelli, and Ashley Greene, where Rathbone revealed the existence of a Twilight blooper reel that fans will likely never get to see, to the disappointment of, well, everyone. According to Rathbone, the special blooper reel—put together for a private screening—was entirely dedicated to Kristen Stewart’s expletive-filled line flubs.

‘Twilight’s Jackson Rathbone Reveals Cast Members Helped Shape the Movie’s Iconic Soundtrack
Image
The Twilight series, despite receiving generally underwhelming reviews, was enormously popular at the time and the teen romance series by Stephanie Meyer still has a cult following that loves both the books and the movies.

In light of that, the franchise stars Jackson Rathbone, Peter Facinelli, and Ashley Greene were guests at the recently-held Indiana Comic Con, where they were asked about the films and Rathbone revealed a very interesting detail about the movie’s soundtrack or, to be more precise, one of the movie’s iconic songs.

Jackson Rathbone discussed the impact that director Catherine Hardwick had on the movie, praising her direction and firm control of the movie’s production: “I think what really made Twilight become iconic, as you said, is Catherine. And I think really, if anyone else had helmed the first movie, I don’t think we’d be here, to be honest. So I...

Laws of Man Review: Unpacking a Bold, Fragmented Narrative
Image
Set against the stark, unforgiving backdrop of Nevada’s arid deserts in 1963, Laws of Man presents itself as a Cold War thriller that interrogates the human condition in times of political strife.

The film opens with two U.S. Marshals tasked with serving warrants in an environment where isolation is both physical and psychological—a fitting stage for examining the scars left by conflict (a notion that resonates with historical shifts of the period).

The narrative introduces marshals who confront not only local criminals but also their own inner demons. One character is burdened by memories of wartime experiences, his flashbacks offering a window into a troubled past that shadows his present. In contrast, his partner exhibits a reckless spirit, one that sparks both frustration and occasional wry amusement from the viewer.

This cinematic offering mixes the hard edges of traditional law enforcement with moments that tip into surreal exaggeration,...

Where Was Twilight Filmed? Every Major Location Explained
Image
In 2008, the first "Twilight" movie — based on a novel of the same name by Stephenie Meyer — hit theaters, made stars out of the two young leads Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, and became one of the biggest young adult sensations in modern cinematic history. The story begins when Stewart's socially awkward teen Bella Swan moves to Forks, Washington to live with her dad Charlie (Billy Burke), the police chief of the small town; her whole world turns sideways when she meets Edward Cullen (Pattinson), a handsome but mysterious high school student hiding an enormous secret. (He's a vampire. That's the secret.)

Across five movies — "Twilight" and its "Twilight Saga" sequels "New Moon," "Eclipse," and parts one and two of "Breaking Dawn" — we watch as Bella and Edward navigate the difficulties of a relationship between a human teenager and a century-old vampire masquerading as a regular teenager, dealing with all...

During Megacon Orlando, Collider’s Maggie Lovitt spoke with Jackson Rathbone, Ashley Greene, Peter Facinelli, and Kellan Lutz, where Rathbone pitched an idea for a Twilight prequel that might sound familiar to Avengers fans. Robert Pattinson Calls Out "Crazy" 'Twilight' Hate 17 Years Later
Image
Within pop culture, trends emerge where it becomes cool to hate things. While targets like superhero movies and Coldplay move in and out of the crosshairs, the Twilight movies are a permanent fixture of abuse from cinephiles. But, the franchise's star, Robert Pattinson, says enough is enough, and that fans need to move on.

Pattinson played Edward Cullen, the lead vampire, in all five Twilight films, alongside Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan and Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black. The first entry, aptly named Twilight, was released back in 2008, while the final installment, Breaking Dawn - Part 2, landing just four years later in 2012.

Via DiscussingFilm, Pattinson said Twilight haters need to move on with their lives. "It fascinates me that people keep telling me: 'Dude, Twilight ruined the vampire genre,'" the actor explained. Since Twilight's release, the vampire genre has found a renaissance, although few other movies portray the...

So, How Does Bella See Edward In New Moon If He Can't Access Her Mind?
Image
The Twilight Saga: New Moon sees Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) breaking up at the beginning, and Bella spends a large part of the movie hearing and seeing Edward. However, this raises some questions as it’s known that Edward can’t access Bella’s mind. Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight universe brings together vampires, werewolves, and humans, with key changes to the first two. The vampires and werewolves in the world of Twilight are unlike their traditional depictions, and one of the biggest (and most controversial) changes to vampires is that each of them has unique powers.

The powers of the vampires in Twilight go from very useful and interesting to completely useless and irrelevant. The set of powers of each vampire is unique, and Edward’s is all about reading minds. It’s revealed in Twilight that Edward was drawn to Bella due to the smell of...

Lego Reveals 'Twilight' Lego Set, Pre-Orders for February Release
Image
Twilight fans will soon be able to go back to where it all started thanks to Lego, as the company has officially unveiled the newest set in their Ideas line, Twilight: The Cullen House. The build is a replica of the iconic home and highlights a number of rooms and set pieces featured throughout the series, including the kitchen, Edward's bedroom, and the grand piano. Based on the 2005 novel by Stephanie Meyer, Twilight became a smash hit when it was released in 2008, earning more than $408 million at the box office. Perhaps the best part about the new set, however, is that Edward actually sparkles.

Per the Lego website, the three-story house is composed of 2001 pieces, and comes with seven minifigures including Bella, Edward, Jacob, Carlisle, Esme, Alice, and Bella's father, Charlie. Jacob will also be represented by a mini wolf figure, and Charlie's red truck is also included, as is...

‘Laws of Man’ Review: U.S. Marshals Chase Their Tails in a Lukewarm Cold War Thriller
Image
Ambition outstrips expertise in writer-director Phil Blattenberger’s “Laws of Man,” whose serpentine plot winds up seeming a wild goose chase — one whose execution should have been, well, wilder. Action and atmosphere are too poorly supplied for this stab at a noirish retro thriller to emerge as anything but talky, awkward and unconvincing. Set in 1963, it takes a big narrative leap toward the end that suggests an intent closer to such willfully over-the-top Cold War paranoia fantasias as “Dr. Strangelove” and “Winter Kills.” But the satirical edge which might’ve pulled off that gambit is absent throughout, making for a whole that’s peculiar without ever being very engaging. Saban is releasing the feature to U.S. theaters, digital and On Demand platforms Jan. 10.

Based in state capitol Carson City, Frank (Jacob Keohane) and Tommy (Jackson Rathbone) are U.S. marshals who’ve driven 15 hours into the remotest Nevada desert...

When Twilight Director Catherine Hardwicke Revealed Studio’s Doubts About Robert Pattinson’s Casting
Image
Did the studio have doubts about Robert Pattison’s casting in Twilight? ( Photo Credit – Instagram )

Welcome to the early days of Robert Pattinson’s Twilight journey. Director Catherine Hardwicke took a trip down memory lane on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, revealing just how much of a long shot Pattinson seemed at first. Spoiler alert: Hardwicke totally knew what she was doing.

When Pattinson first strolled into her life, he wasn’t exactly rocking that “mysterious vampire” vibe. “When he came over to my house, he had black bangs for hair and was kind of out of shape because he was hanging out at the pub all the time,” Hardwicke shared. Yeah, not exactly the Edward Cullen we now know and love. But here’s where it gets juicy. Summit Entertainment—aka the studio behind Twilight—was less than convinced. They straight-up asked, “Do you think you can make this guy look good?...

Why Does Victoria Look So Different in 'Eclipse'?
Image
In September 2024, Netflix announced plans to make a Twilight animated series based on Stephenie Meyer's 2020 novel Midnight Sun. The companion novel retells the events of the first Twilight novel, doing so entirely from Edward Cullen's sparkly-eyed perspective. With the animated series in development and casting hopefuls underway, it's worth wondering if and how the vicious vampire Victoria will figure into the story and who will portray her onscreen through a vocal performance.

Speaking of Victoria, Twilight Saga fans will surely recall the original actor Rachelle Lefevre being suddenly replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard in the franchise's third entry, Eclipse. With 14 years since the movie was released, it's also likely many fans have forgotten why Lefevre abruptly left the popular teen fantasy franchise. Now that enough time has passed, addressing Lefevre's departure and assessing which actor gave a more convincing performance as Victoria will help drum up newfound interest...

After being pigeonholed as a certain type of actor for a number of years, Kristen Stewart's movies have showcased that she is an incredible talent of immense versatility. The American actress got her start early, earning acclaim at the tender age of 12 years old for her role in David Fincher's thriller Panic Room. She continued her career with a number of teen roles before becoming a household name thanks to her role as Bella Swan in the Twilight movie franchise.

Like with her Twilight costar Robert Pattinson, the popular but critically derided movies helped and hurt Stewart's career, leading her to reinvent herself as an indie actor, willing to take on bold and challenging roles. Since then, Stewart has emerged as one of the most acclaimed actors of her generation, working alongside talented filmmakers and even scoring her first Oscar nomination. While there is a long and...

Dakota Fannings Hit New Netflix Show Repeats A Career Twist That Twilight Ended 12 Years Ago
Image
Warning: This article contains Major Spoilers for The Perfect Couple.

Dakota Fannings performance in the hit new Netflix Show The Perfect Couple repeats a career twist from 12 years ago, when she appeared in the Twilight movies. Netflixs newest murder mystery revels in its soapy, overdramatic elements. Despite The Perfect Couple being divisive among both critics and audiences, the show has remained in the number 1 spot of Netflixs Top 10 list since its release, making it a hit.

While the series has unquestionable narrative flaws, the show shines because of the performances of The Perfect Couples A-list cast. The actors who portray the Winbury family do a great job of making their ridiculously wealthy characters unlikable and obnoxious. A notable standout in the murder mystery is actor Dakota Fanning who portrays The Perfect Couples pregnant murderer, Abby Winbury. In addition to being hilariously terrible, Fannings role mirrors a career twist from over a decade ago.

‘Twilight’ Animated Series a Go at Netflix
Image
Twilight is getting a second (after)life in the form of an animated series at Netflix.

The streamer has given a straight-to-series order and begun development on a show based on Midnight Sun, author Stephenie Meyer’s companion novel to her mega-selling Twilight series. The book is a retelling of the events of Twilight from vampire Edward Cullen’s point of view; the main series is told from the perspective of Bella Swan, the human object of Edward’s fascination.

Lionsgate Television, which began early development on a Twilight TV project last year, will produce the series. Lionsgate’s film division released the four Twilight movies.

Sinead Daly (Hulu’s Tell Me Lies, Max’s Raised by Wolves), who has been attached to the project from the outset, will adapt the novel and executive produce along with the Meyer and Meghan Hibbett of Fickle Fish Films, Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen...

"That's Screwing Us Even More": Twilight Star Recalls Robert Pattinson's Reaction To Sparkly Vampire Makeup
Image
Jackson Rathbone recalls Robert Pattinson's annoyance with sparkly vampire makeup in the Twilight movies. Meyer's lore behind the Twilight vampires' sparkling skin is rooted in cellular changes, making their skin refract sunlight. Sparkling vampires remain a contentious aspect of Twilight, with the potential for a more crowd-pleasing adaptation in the upcoming TV series.

Twilight star Jackson Rathbone looks back on the original movie's production, recollecting how lead star Robert Pattinson was left bothered by his sparkly vampire makeup. Rathbone portrayed Jasper Hale, a vampire who would marry into the Cullen family to leave behind his bloody, violent past throughout the American Civil War. Alongside Pattinson, he would reprise his role in all five Twilight movies, which adapted Stephenie Meyer's best-selling supernatural romance novels.

During a Twilight panel at Emerald City Comic Con, Popverse reports that Rathbone looked back at filming the original movie, which was directed by...

Twilight Star Reveals How Robert Pattinson Really Felt About Those Sparkles
Image
Robert Pattinson disliked the sparkling vampire makeup in Twilight. A Twilight reboot series is in development as an animated series. Jacob Elordi and Jenna Ortega are suggested for the lead roles in the reboot.

Its been 12 long years since the Twilight franchise concluded with Breaking Dawn Part 2 in 2012, but one thing everyone still comments on are those darn sparkles. Star Jackson Rathbone is no exception, who recently told an audience full of fans how Robert Pattinson really felt about becoming a sparkling vampire in the series. Rathbone starred alongside Pattinson in The Twilight Saga as Jasper Hale, the newest member of the Cullen family who can manipulate emotions and has trouble sticking to their vegetarian diet of animal blood.

Jenna Ortega and Jacob Elordi Would Be “Amazing” in a ‘Twilight’ Reboot, Says Director
Image
Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke has some thoughts on who would be cast as the main characters if the film were to be rebooted today.

During an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast to discuss the film 15 years after it originally came out, the filmmaker chimed in on who she’d want to play Edward Cullen and Bella Swan in a film today.

When asked if Jacob Elordi and Jenna Ortega would portray the two main characters, Hardwicke admitted, “Oh, that would be perfect,” she said, adding of Elordi, “I mean, he’s amazing. He probably would be Edward today.”

She explained that so many people come to mind when she thinks about who could be cast in the roles in the present day. Model Lewis Tan approached her recently and told her he went out for the role of Jacob Black, which eventually went to Taylor Lautner.

“It would...

How ‘Twilight’ Captured “Love That’s Like a Drug”
Image
When filmmaker Catherine Hardwicke got the first draft of Twilight, she knew there was a problem. The script depicted Bella as a superstar athlete and ended with her in a chase with the FBI (on jet skis). “It had just gone out of control,” says Hardwicke. “I’m like, ‘No, no, no, that’s not what the book’s about. It’s about this incredible, impossible love and this yearning.”

Hardwicke wanted to ditch the script and get closer to the book by author Stephenie Meyer. Those instincts proved right. Fifteen years ago, on Nov. 21, 2008, Twilight became a surprise hit for low-key studio Summit Entertainment, grossing $408.4 million worldwide and instantly turning stars Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan) and Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen) into global stars. It would spawn four sequels, with a TV reboot on the way.

After working on a new script with writer Melissa Rosenberg, Hardwicke, then best known for Thirteen,...

Twilight Director Dishes on Iconic Baseball Scene, Vampire Film Celebrates 15th Anniversary
Image
Director Catherine Hardwicke reflects on the iconic baseball scene from the original Twilight, revealing how the cast and crew made it exciting and fun. Only Jackson Rathbone and Cam Gigandet knew how to play baseball, while the rest of the cast had to learn the basics for the scene, according to Hardwicke. Hardwicke praises Ashley Greene's work ethic and Nikki Reed's epic slide during the baseball scene, highlighting their dedication.

“It’s time.” Alice Cullen’s (Ashley Greene) dialogue from the original Twilight is apropos in this instance, particularly as she refers to the start of the now iconic baseball game. In the 2008 film, the Cullen family gathers in a remote field to honor the American pastime, but they can only play baseball when a thunderstorm passes over the town of Forks — the sound, along with a gushing waterfall, masks the cracking of their bats against the ball.

‘Twilight’ Studio Worried About Casting Robert Pattinson, Asked Catherine Hardwicke: Can You ‘Make This Guy Look Good?’
Image
Robert Pattinson needed a makeover to transform into Edward Cullen, according to “Twilight” director Catherine Hardwicke.

While appearing on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast to mark the 15th anniversary of the beloved 2008 film, Hardwicke recalled how studio Summit Entertainment was skeptical Pattinson could “look good” as the heartthrob character.

“When he came over to my house, he had black bangs for hair and was kind of out of shape because he was hanging out at the pub all the time,” Hardwicke said of first auditioning Pattinson. “I sent it to Summit and he went over to meet them. They called me back and go, ‘Do you think you can make this guy look good?'”

Hardwicke continued, “I said, ‘Yeah, I do. Did you see his cheekbones? We’re doing a makeover on the hair and everything and he’s going to start working out and he’s going to be gorgeous.

‘Twilight’ Director Says Studio Was Concerned Over Robert Pattinson’s Looks In Casting Process
Image
Robert Pattinson is known as a heartthrob in Hollywood following his shot to stardom after starring in the Twilight saga. However, the film’s director Catherine Hardwicke is now revealing that the studio behind the franchise was not always Team Pattinson for the role of Edward and expressed concern over his looks during the casting process.

“When he came over to my house, he had black bangs for hair and was kind of out of shape because he was hanging out at the pub all the time,” Hardwicke said during an interview on the Watchalong podcast. “I thought ‘it works not just in person, but it works on screen.’ I had to be sure. Of course, in person, I just got carried away, but you have to be sure — does it really translate [to the screen]?”

Following the “fun auditions” Pattinson shot with co-star Kristen Stewart for the 2008 film were shown to Summit Entertainment execs,...

‘Black Noise’ Ending Explained & Movie Summary: Who Are The Mysterious Creatures?
Image
What could go wrong when you send a group of elite soldiers skilled in warfare to an island in the middle of nowhere to extract a VIP? Well! Everything could go wrong, and Philippe Martinez’s 2023 action flick, Black Noise, explores such a scenario. A team of skilled soldiers took up a new task, thinking it would be a simple find-and-extract job. Little did they know the enemies they were going to face there would take more than just bullets to kill.

It all began with Ryan (Wayne Gordon) receiving a call from his superiors while he was enjoying his holiday in St. Martin with his team. His squad included Naomi (Ashton Leigh), Leila (Sadie Newman), Leo (Jackson Rathbone), and Jordan. Unfortunately, his superiors wanted Ryan to cancel his holiday and make preparations to extract a target of high value from an exclusive island. The island wasn’t for everyone.

‘Black Noise’ VOD’ Review
Image
Stars: Wayne Gordon, Sadie Newman, Eve Mauro, Jackson Rathbone, Alex Pettyfer, Niki Spiridakos | Written by Sean-Michael Argo, Leigh Scott | Directed by Philippe Martinez

Black Noise is the latest film to follow in the footsteps of Predator and takes a group of highly trained professional soldiers and sends them to a remote location on what should be a simple mission only for it to turn into a battle with something beyond their comprehension. Earlier this year Island Escape added a few twists to make it feel fresh, can Black Noise pull off the same feat?

A large man, uniformed and armed, flees through a Carribean rainforest. Whatever he’s running from must be dangerous, his uniform is torn and he’s battered, bloody, and panicked to the point of shooting at moving foliage. Reaching a house he sees a quad parked in the yard, just what he needs to escape. But...
