Kate Micucci talks the return of Carol Ann Wheeler in Night Court season 3 [Exclusive]
Image
We were promised the return of The Wheelers in Night Court season 3, and it’s finally happening. Kate Micucci will return as Carol Ann Wheeler, and she talked with us about that return and what to expect.

The Wheelers have been a beloved part of the Night Court universe from the original series. While Brent Spiner and Annie O’Donnell returned to reprise their roles, Keri Houlihan didn’t. Instead, The Big Bang Theory’s Kate Micucci stepped into the role, proving that Carol Ann is just as weird and wacky as her parents.

It’s not easy coming into a revival as an already-introduced character, so we talked about stepping into the role and what to expect in Night Court season 3, episode 13.

The Star Trek Actor Who Had A 7-Episode Run On 1984's Night Court
Image
Actor Brent Spiner's most visible acting role was probably Data, the android lieutenant commander on "Star Trek: The Next Generation." As Data, Spiner appeared in 176 episodes of "Next Generation," in the four spin-off movies, and in five episodes of "Star Trek: Picard." He also appeared on "Picard" as a new amalgam android character, as well as multiple members of the Soong family throughout various "Star Trek" shows. For an actor who was initially cast as an emotionless being, Spiner certainly played some of the franchise's more dramatic characters.

Spiner has always expressed a little ambivalence toward Data. While he certainly appreciates the money and fame brought to him by the role, Spiner felt that "Star Trek" might have robbed him of the ability to play a wide variety of parts. He feared casting agents would look at him and be unable to look past his "Star Trek" android.

For fans of '80s sitcoms,...

Night Court Season 2 Images Reveal Original Characters' Return
Image
Brent Spiner and Annie O'Donnell are set to return as the unlucky Bob and June Wheeler in the Night Court revival. New images showcase the couple alongside their daughter, Carol Ann (Kate Micucci), in the upcoming episode "Wheelers of Fortune." The couple's notorious string of bad luck seems to have continued since they were last on the show.

New Night Court images feature Brent Spiner and Annie O'Donnell reprising their original roles as Bob and June Wheeler. The couple had a string of outrageous bad luck throughout their appearances on the original sitcom, of which Bob had 7 and June had 6. Now that the show, which ended in 1992, has had a revival, the stars are set to make a new appearance opposite returning main cast member John Larroquette as Dan Fielding and newcomers including Melissa Rauch as the show's new lead, Judge Abby Stone.

Image
Deidre Hall and Shannen Doherty, who appeared with Wilford Brimley on the 1980s NBC series Our House, lovingly remembered him in Instagram posts Sunday.

Our House ran for two seasons on NBC from 1986 to 1988. The drama detailed the life of the Witherspoons, a family adjusting to three generations living in the same house.

On Our House, Brimley portrayed retired widower Gus Witherspoon, who took in his late son’s family, including daughter-in-law Jessie (played by Hall) and grandchildren Kris (Shannen Doherty), David (Chad Allen), and Molly (Keri Houlihan).

Brimley died at age 85 on Saturday in St. George, Utah after suffering from a kidney issue for two months.

“We lost a great one yesterday,” Hall wrote. “Every day with Wilford was a life lesson. Heaven just got a lot more interesting.”

Later, Shannen Doherty posted her own Instagram tribute.

“I met Wilford when we did Our House together,” Doherty wrote. “He...
