DC Studios' Dceu reboot hasn't quite been the fresh start most fans imagined it would be. While James Gunn and Peter Safran have mostly started from scratch with the Dcu, the former's decision to enlist several familiar faces from Peacemaker has led to some confusion.

Gunn's explanation is that these are different versions of the same characters with slightly different backgrounds. It makes sense, but further confusing matters is the fact that Peacemaker season 2 will include a Multiversal storyline, with Christopher Smith visiting a world where he's a beloved hero.

The prevailing theory was that this would explain his journey from the Dceu to the Dcu. However, Gunn has confirmed that's not the case, despite confirming that Peacemaker will somehow address the change.

Peacemaker season 2 is fast approaching, making it the third Dcu project to head our way since Creature Commandos premiered at the end of last year.

DC Studios co-ceo and filmmaker James Gunn had described the series as a direct follow-up to Superman, and promised fans that it's going to explain what is and isn't canon from the first season of Peacemaker.

He's previously hinted that pretty much everything aside from the Justice League's cameos/references to characters like Aquaman and The Flash played out in the Dcu exactly as it did in the Dceu.

Peacemaker season 2 will see John Cena’s antihero tackle a whole bunch of villains, both old and new. Written and developed by James Gunn, who is the co-chief of DC Studios and directed Superman recently, Peacemaker season 2 will directly relate to the events of Superman and will see Peacemaker go on another mission with the 11th Street Kids.

Gunn has confirmed that most events of season 1 and The Suicide Squad are canon to the show, which means quite a few villains who survived the previous season will return.

Now that nerds around the world have gotten a taste of James Gunn's outstanding "Superman," we're finally seeing our newest superhero cinematic universe take shape. Given everything that went down with the disastrous Snyderverse and even Superman's many cancelled films prior to that, it felt miraculous to watch a genuine Superman film grace the silver screen.

Paramount+’s hit dramedy Tulsa King has a return date.

The third season of the Sylvester Stallone series will premiere on Sept. 21.

In addition, the streamer has released the first description of the new episodes: “As Dwight’s empire expands, so do his enemies — and the risks to his crew. Now, he faces his most dangerous adversaries in Tulsa yet: the Dunmires, a powerful old-money family that doesn’t play by old-world rules, forcing Dwight to fight for everything he’s built and protect his family.”

The new season of the Taylor Sheridan-produced series will also introduce Samuel L. Jackson’s character — Russell Lee Washington Jr. — who is going to topline a spinoff of the series titled Nola King.

A series of new images have been revealed from Tulsa King season 3 ahead of its return in September, including a new glimpse at Samuel L. Jackson's franchise-expanding character. The Paramount+ crime drama was created by Taylor Sheridan and focuses on Sylvester Stallone's Oklahoma crime boss Dwight "the General" Manfredi. Tulsa King season 2 concluded in November 2024.

USA Today has unveiled a new selection of preview images from Tulsa King season 3 ahead of its return, which has been revealed to be on September 21 (per Variety). After years of underwhelming releases and an overall lack of cohesion in storytelling, DC bounced back with a bang on July 11 with James Gunn’s reliable, comic book-loving direction.

Superman, starring David Corenswet as the Man of Steel, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, was loved by fans and critics alike. From incredibly positive early reviews to a $125 million domestic opening weekend, Gunn’s film soared to a summer blockbuster status while delivering a promising revival of the Dcu.

In the movie, Gunn drops us into an existing universe where metahumans are already established. Instead of seeing Kal-El land on Earth in his Kryptonian spaceship, we catch him on just another day in Metropolis—a nod to Gunn’s experience of reading Superman comic books.

However, what the movie does not say out loud in as many words, it makes up for with Easter eggs.

What a difference a month makes, eh? Appearing together at San Diego Comic-Con with the rest of Peacemaker's Season 2 cast, Cena -- dressed in his full Peacemaker costume -- pulled a variation of the much-memed "you can't see me" taunt by posing his helmet next to Gunn. Dubbing this image "James Gunn next to John Cena," he then poked fun at Gunn's extended reaction to the invisible Cena sitting next to him, joking, "Look at how he's so frustrated, I love it. He doesn't like it so much."

Frank Grillo has become a key player in the rebooted DC Universe, playing Rick Flag Sr. He’s been busy, appearing in every Dcu project released so far.

Grillo had a major role in Creature Commandos last December, a smaller part in Superman which came out two weeks ago, and now he’s set to have a big role in Peacemaker Season 2.

But Grillo wasn’t excited about one particular thing in the new season, the opening credits dance. The DC series is introducing a new dance sequence that’s both silly and serious. At San Diego Comic-Con, director James Gunn and the cast visited Entertainment Weekly’s video suite before their Hall H panel. They had a laugh about Grillo’s dancing skills.

Gunn joked, “He is a terrible dancer,” making everyone laugh, but added, “But he was a trooper.” Grillo admitted, “My knees were dying!”
