8 Inanimate Objects That Stole the Golden Globe Awards
Channing Tatum
The true stars of this year's Golden Globes were not the nominees, the dresses or even the awards themselves. Rather, the awards show gained most of its star power from a slew of inanimate objects, from the gag book Aziz Ansari read in the audience to Jonah Hill's hokey bear hat. Here are the things - like, actual things - that made the show magic. 1. Lionsgate and Grindhouse Pick Up Alexa Vega Starrer 2 Br/1 Ba
Both Lionsgate and Grindstone Entertainment have coupled up and have acquired the Us distribution rights to Rob Margolies' new thriller '2 Br/1 Ba'. Aside from the overly complicated title the movie does star the gorgeous Alexa Vega -below ('Machete Kills') and Spencer Grammer as two 'odd couple' roommates who turn on each other in brutal ways over the course of one day. Director Rob Margolies helms from a script written by Aaron Edwards. Kathryn Morris and Richard Riehle also star....

Andrew Embiricos: Rita Hayworth Grandson Dies of Apparent Suicide
Andrew Embiricos, grandson of Rita Hayworth and Prince Aly Khan, was found dead of an apparent suicide at his West 17th Street apartment in Chelsea, New York City, on Sunday, Dec. 4. Embiricos was 25. Andrew Ali Aga Khan Embiricos was the son of economist and shipping heir Basil Embiricos and Princess Yasmin Aga Khan. He was also the nephew of Prince Karim, Aga Khan IV. As such, Embiricos was purportedly a direct descendant of the prophet Mohammed. His body, lying face up in bed with a bag over his head, was found Sunday evening by a friend, Aaron Edwards, who then called 911. An autopsy is to be performed. Because the handsome Embiricos had appeared in amateur gay sex video clips on X-Tube, New York and gay tabloids have gone on to claim that his death wasn't actually suicide, but an experimentation with autoerotic asphyxiation gone wrong. Those are the same sensational...

BAFTA Awards: 'The King's Speech' Cleans Up
Colin Firth in The King's Speech - Die Rede des Königs (2010)
London — Royal drama "The King's Speech" was crowned the big winner Sunday at Britain's top film awards – a sign that it may reign again at Hollywood's Academy Awards in two weeks' time.

The made-in-England story of King George VI and his struggle to overcome a stutter won seven prizes, including best picture and acting trophies for Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush.

It had to share the crown jewels with Facebook-founding drama "The Social Network, which took three prizes including best director for David Fincher. Mind-bending saga "Inception" also won three trophies.

"The King's Speech" went into the awards as heavy favorite with 14 nominations – an unexpected British triumph that cost a reported 15 million pounds ($24 million) to make and has taken many times that at the global box office.

It beat "The Social Network," "Black Swan," "Inception" and "True Grit" to the best picture prize.
