It took Harrison Ford a long time to embrace the small screen after he broke through with the "Star Wars" franchise in 1977. Once he'd established himself by playing Han Solo, the star spent decades working exclusively in movies (though he did show up for a brief cameo in the 1990s series "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles"). But in recent years, Ford has cast aside his apparent aversion to TV with starring roles in several shows.

His delightful portrayal of Dr. Paul Rhodes in Apple TV+'s "Shrinking" has allowed him to show off his underrated comedic chops and surprise his co-star, Jason Segel in the process. The same year he was cast in "Shrinking," Ford was also confirmed to star in the "Yellowstone" spin-off "1923" alongside his former "The Mosquito Coast" co-star Helen Mirren. The Paramount+ series saw Ford play Jacob Dutton, forebear of Kevin Costner's John Dutton from its parent show.

The one thing that makes No Country for Old Men stand out from every other Western is in its depiction of the villainous Anton Chigurh. Played by Javier Bardem, the pasty-looking psychopath who trudges along the desert, prowling from one town to the next, is creepy enough to make one’s skin crawl.

So iconic was Bardem’s depiction of the villain that it won him an Academy Award, got Chigurh ranked as one of the greatest villains (and movie characters) of all time, and was decidedly labeled as one of the most realistic portrayals of a psychopath in the Journal of Forensic Sciences.

It becomes not only difficult but also impossible to imagine anyone else playing the iconic role. However, Mark Strong came this close to nabbing the role that was destined to be played by the Spanish actor.

Liam Neeson may have all the skills he needed to lead the Taken franchise to success across three movies that redefined his career, but many people are just discovering that this was just the beginning for the saga of Bryan Mills. The TV series prequel to the Taken franchise is currently streaming on Freevee and has debuted at the top of the streamer’s TV show chart.

The series, which was released in 2017 and stars Clive Standen in the lead role, tracks a younger Bryan Mills, showing how he became the man with the skills that everyone grew to love more than a decade earlier. A former Green Beret who experiences a personal tragedy, Mills' path is set when he becomes bent on revenge while moving into a deadly career as a CIA operative that will certainly come in useful years later.

The series received mixed reviews from critics and audiences.
