Horror is one of the hardest genres to nail down, as even a minuscule mistake could result in a horrific film, and that too not in a good way. The films on this list have also made the same mistake, but in their case, it was not a minor one, as after watching them, it feels like the director had two choices and he always chose the wrong one. So, as a public service, we compiled this list of horrible horror films that are currently available on Prime Video, so that you, our reader, can avoid them.

More than four decades after forming in Los Angeles, trendsetting punk-rock firebrands Nofx played their final concerts this past weekend in nearby San Pedro, California as part of their Punk in Drublic Festival. The group’s last-ever concert on Sunday included guest appearances by Rancid’s Tim Armstrong, Bad Religion’s Brett Gurewitz and Jay Bentley, and the Foo Fighters’ Chris Shiflett, who once played alongside Nofx’s Fat Mike in Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, among others.

Nofx wrapped up their farewell tour with three gigs at Berth 46 in San Pedro, California, over the weekend, including their final show ever on Sunday (October 6th). For the very last gig, the veteran punk band played a marathon 33-song set that included notable guest appearances.

All three shows featured festival-style lineups, beginning with sets in the early afternoon. Sunday’s lineup included Fishbone, Subhumans, The Flatliners, Codefendants, Frank Turner, The Vandals, and Pennywise, leading up to Nofx’s headlining set.

Among the special guests during Nofx’s Sunday set was former Mighty Mighty Bosstones guitarist and current record executive/producer Nate Albert on the song “180 Degrees.” A couple songs later, Rancid singer-guitarist Tim Armstrong joined Nofx for a cover of Rancid’s “Radio.”

During the encore, Nofx covered Bad Religion’s “We’re Only Gonna Die” with that band’s Brett Gurewitz and Jay Bentley. And the final song of the night,...

A covers compilation benefitting the relief fund of singer-songwriter Jesse Malin, who suffered a spinal stroke last year, is set for release on September 20th. The latest single to be released from the effort is Billie Joe Armstrong’s cover of Malin’s “Black Haired Girl.”

The full 27-song tracklist for Silver Patron Saints: The Songs of Jesse Malin was also unveiled and features many of Malin’s friends and colleagues covering the D Generation frontman’s songs, including Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, Graham Parker, Bleachers, and many more.

You can officially mark you calendars because “Ted Lasso” Season 3 will premiere on Wednesday, March 15 with episodes dropping weekly, Apple TV+ announced Tuesday.

The streamer also unveiled a minute-long teaser that includes the whole crew crafting “Believe” signs for the locker room, culminating with Ted (Jason Sudeikis) and Beard (Brendan Hunt) walking in to find them adorned above the lockers. “Well, if seeing is believing, I believe we’ve been seen,” Ted remarks. The Specials frontman Terry Hall was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer just a few months before he died, according to bandmate Horace Panter.

Hall died on Sunday (18 December) after a short battle with the disease, aged 63.

On Tuesday (20 December) bassist Horace Panter wrote a lengthy statement on Facebook detailing his version of events.

Panter recalled how the band had been ready to fly out to the US back in September to record a new album, when Hall had emailed to say he was unwell with a stomach bug.

“We had it all planned out,” began the bass player, explaining that Hall already had the “framework for 8 tunes” and that “confidence was high”.

Damon Albarn has posted a touching piano tribute to Terry Hall of The Specials, who died on Monday (19 December).

The Specials announced that Hall had died at age 63 following a brief illness.

Since the news of Hall’s death broke, tributes have poured in for the frontman. Fellow artists, celebrities and members of the public have all paid their respects.

Now, Damon Albarn has posted his own ode to the late singer.

“Terry, you meant the world to me. I love you,” wrote the Blur frontman on his Instagram page, alongside a video of him covering The Specials’ song, “Friday Night, Saturday Morning”.

In the video, Albarn can be seen facing the camera while playing the piano, with light streaming in from the window behind.

Albarn’s piano tribute is slower and more melancholy than the original version, but instantly recognisable as the 1980 track.

Sharon Osbourne has given fans an update on her health since returning home from hospital, after experiencing a medical emergency on Friday (16 December).

The music manager and TV personality, 70, was reportedly taken ill on the set of her son Jack’s new TV special, Jack Osbourne’s Night of Terror, on Friday. She was quickly taken in for treatment.

At the time, Santa Paula police chief Don Aguilar confirmed to US press that the fire department had brought Osbourne to the hospital.

Late on Saturday (17 December), Jack shared the latest on his mother’s medical status, confirming that she had been discharged from medical care.

“She has been given the all-clear from her medical team and is now home. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support,” he wrote on his Instagram story.

Things didn’t exactly get off to a flying start with the Sonic the Hedgehog movie. When the initial trailer was released, fans were not happy at all with how Sega’s lead mascot looked. Especially his ‘human-like’ teeth it seemed. Personally, I wasn’t that bothered but the filmmakers were it seems, as Sonic got a quick makeover in time for its release and everyone was happy. But with all that going on, is the movie actually any good?

Fans of the games will definitely be pleased. Right from the opening scenes we see where Sonic grew up and we see him run. Most importantly, both of these things feel like they have been ripped straight out of the video game.

With sincere condolences to the underpaid animators who spent the last four months in panic mode, Sonic the Hedgehog’s grotesque human teeth have turned out to be the least of his movie’s problems. If it’s any consolation, just remember that someone once spent a torturous amount of time designing the curtains for the Titanic. The point is that “Sonic the Hedgehog” was beyond salvation long before a fan outcry rescued the Sega mascot from the island of Dr. Moreau.

There is too much navel-gazing and not enough Spinal Tap-isms, in an uneventful film following the singer on tour and recording his sixth album

“I started smoking again when I was 32. Who fucking does that?” exclaims Frank Turner during another one of his post-hedonism inquests. A few more casually self-aggrandising Spinal Tap-isms would have been welcome in this dreary rockumentary orbiting the libertarian punk-folker in 2014-15 as he grapples with the rigours of touring and recording his sixth album, now on major label Polydor.

Unfortunately he and his bandmates mostly get along fine and the recording of said album passes off smoothly – leaving director Ben Morse with little to get his teeth into. Great play is made of Turner’s struggle to shed himself of past hellraising commitments, but in the absence of much documentary evidence, what remains is too much navel-gazing talking-headage. Tolga Karaçelik’s Turkish drama Ivy has won the best feature award at the East End Film Festival (July 1-12) in London.

It marks Karaçelik’s second film, after 2010 feature Tollbooth, and was shot by Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s Dop, Gökhan Tiryaki.

Set onboard a hulking cargo ship moored off the coast of Egypt, the film follows a skeleton crew of misfit sailors, forced to stay onboard after their paymasters go bust. But it isn’t long before power structures dissolve, leading to tension, threats of violence, and strange apparitions.

Ivy will receive its UK premiere at London’s Rio Cinema tomorrow (July 11).

It was chosen by a jury comprising Eeff’s 2015 Director-in-Residence Noaz Deshe (White Shadow); writer Irvine Welsh (Trainspotting); director Amma Asante (Belle); artist Viv Albertine; and director Ross Clarke (Dermaphoria).

Karaçelik will be invited back to the festival in 2016 as Director-in-Residence.

Cm Punk is a busy man training for his first ever Ufc fight and although he’s attempted to distance himself from wrestling as much as possible, he can’t quite shake off the sport completely.

As we open this week’s installment of Scorpion, the team is being brought before the Director of Homeland Security to be tested. Obviously, that’s forgetting the fact that they’ve been tested twice now and aced it both times, but I guess we need some sort of drama aside from the case of the week, and because at one point or another, any well-meaning group of outsiders hired to work for the government are held under close scrutiny by said government. Punk rock may have began in the 1970s, but there was a revival in the 1990s that brought forth many new bands who have become the main influences for today’s artists. It was the heyday of Epitaph Records and Fat Wreck Chords, whose artists brought punk music to a wider audience by seeking originality, while at the same time keeping to the core values of the genre. They added a heavier, yet more melodic sound to the music. These bands gained widespread fame through soundtrack appearances on Tony Hawk video games, appearances on Warped Tour in the early years, and appearances on multiple cheap compilations (Fat Music, Punk-o-Rama, etc.). Channel 4 has announced a series of special music programmes for the autumn and winter season.

Alice Cooper will present his own guide to being a rock star in Rock Night, set to air in December.

The night of shows will include documentary 50 Years of Rock Excess: Amps, Whips and Rebel Riffs, a story of how The Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath helped create the rock genre.

Bill Ward, Andrew Wk and Josh Homme will be among the musicians featured in the show.

Queens of the Stone Age's recent gig at the 2013 iTunes Festival will also be exclusively broadcast, along with Queen's classic show at Wembley in 1986.

Later in December, Queer as Pop will centre around the history of gay clubs and their influence on music over the last 40 years.

As someone who can be found with earphones stuck into the side of his head on a near constant basis, it is fair to say that I, like many of you, love my music. I firmly believe that one of the biggest thrills a music fan can achieve is the sense of wonderment that comes after you discover or are introduced to an artist that you may have overlooked or, perhaps, had never even heard of.

Since the release of his last album, Frank Turner has gone from a skinny half-arsed English country singer to a skinny half-arsed English country singer who has sold out Wembley and performed at the Olympic Opening Ceremony. You wouldn’t be able to tell this instantly from Tape Deck Heart. His songs are still charmingly down to earth; playing in front of a packed Olympic Stadium hasn’t elevated his ego even remotely, and in fact this album largely lacks the self-confident bravado of his previous four releases. However, there is evidence to suggest that Frank has matured somewhat as an artist since England Keep My Bones, and this makes Tape Deck Heart arguably his strongest record yet.

If the outpouring of praise for the late British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher seemed to ignore her complicated political history, allow Morrissey to offer a counterweight. In an essay posted on The Daily Beast, the English singer rips into Thatcher's legacy, lambasting her as "a terror without an atom of humanity."

Frank Turner is set to release a new album—according to him, a “break-up record” titled Tape Deck Heart—on April 22. The album will follow up 2011’s England Keep My Bones. Danny Boyle's Olympic soundtrack was baffling at times, but was ultimately an inclusive and unpredictable triumph

Those logging on to iTunes on Friday afternoon to preorder the Olympics opening ceremony soundtrack album weren't offered much help: just eight tracks, no titles, no artists. In fact, the most germane piece of information appeared to be that listeners who'd bought it had also picked up the Cats and Billy Elliot soundtracks. Yikes. But we all had some idea, didn't we? We knew at least we'd get Sir Paul McCartney raising his thumbs aloft to some piece of late Beatles epicry, wouldn't we?

In about seven years, Frank Turner has gone from the ex-lead singer of British hardcore band Million Dead to a struggling pub-singer to an internationally recognized songwriter selling out Wembely Stadium. While Turner opened for Green Day at the legendary venue in 2010, he finally sold out the stadium as the headlining act this past weekend. And to commemorate the event, Turner enlisted his tattoo artist buddy, Matt Hunt, to document it on his upper arm.

The Pogues and Badly Drawn Boy have been named as headliners for the Strummer of Love festival. The one-off event marks the 10th anniversary of the death of The Clash frontman Joe Strummer. It will be held at a secret location in the middle of the Somerset countryside, on the weekend of August 17-19. Proceeds from the festival will go towards Strummerville: The Joe Strummer New Music Foundation, which was set up by friends and family of the late singer. Frank Turner, Basement Jaxx, KT Tunstall and Billy Bragg are also among the longlist of artists for the festival. This was more than just a gig. This was an event. This was a celebration. Frank Turner is by far one of Britain’s hardest working musicians, and this one off headline show at Wembley Arena, by far the biggest of his career, was thoroughly well deserved. Completely selling out a venue of this size is an incredible feat for any artist, but it is all the more special for Frank Turner as he has had no real media backing and no huge record company behind him (he’s still signed to indie imprint Xtra Mile). This was also a real spectacle for Frank’s fans, with his almost cult following being notoriously loyal, people have travelled from all over the country, the continent and even the world (one attendee is announced to be from Thailand) for this amazing night.
