Back in July 2025, news broke that three new actors had joined the cast for School Spirits season 3 in recurring roles. They were Ari Dalbert, Erika Swayze, and Hollywood legend, Jennifer Tilly. It’s been almost a year since Don Mancini’s “Chucky” television series was cancelled at USA and Syfy, and while we still haven’t heard much of a peep about the character’s eventual return to the screen, the Chucky merch certainly hasn’t slowed down in the past year.

On that particular note… Today we’ve learned that Chucky: The Complete Series is getting a Limited Edition SteelBook Blu-ray Collection from Universal on September 23, 2025!

The SteelBook set includes all three seasons of Don Mancini’s series, with previously released Special Features including ‘The Legacy of Chucky’ featurette and Deleted Scenes.

Hulu comes strong for Halloween grabs each year, and as it turns out, 2025 isn’t going to be any different. Seth MacFarlane’s most provocative and unapologetic creation, Family Guy, is expanding its Hulu-exclusive lineup with two new holiday specials. It starts with a Halloween episode titled “A Little Fight Music,” premiering Monday, October 6 — the title for the second special is not yet unveiled. The specials will be separate from Family Guy Season 24, which will air in 2026.

As per Variety, the news comes after it was announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2025 on July 26. The Halloween episode features Brian and Stewie writing a Halloween hit due to the “shortage of quality Halloween songs,” while Peter and friends face dark consequences from faking trick-or-treating. This continues Hulu’s direct collaboration with 20th Television Animation, separate from the show’s traditional Fox broadcast schedule. It is also not Family Guy’s first exclusive for Hulu.

“Family Guy” is set to premiere more exclusive specials for Hulu, in addition to the Fox episodes that it continues to stream. Meeting with fans Saturday at the San Diego Comic-Con, the “Family Guy” team revealed that new Halloween and other holiday editions of “Family Guy” were in the works for Hulu.

The new batch kicks off on Monday, Oct. 6, with a new Halloween “Family Guy” special set to run. It’s the first of two new exclusive episodes for Hulu. The news was shared during “Family Guy’s” Comic-Con panel, which featured stars Alex Borstein, Seth Green and Jennifer Tilly along with executive producers Alec Sulkin and Kara Vallow.

Although I was never big on Don Mancini's creation, the vicious killer doll Chucky in the "Child's Play" franchise — I've always preferred his contemporary colleagues Freddy Krueger and Ghostface more — the character evidently acquired a loving fanbase who embraced the writer-director's effort to bring him back via the small screen in 2021. "Chucky," the TV series that ran for three seasons between 2021 and 2024, was essentially a sequel to 2017's feature "Cult of Chucky", developed by Syfy and the USA Network. Similarly to the movies, the show quickly found an appreciative audience alongside a group of critics who welcomed this new iteration of the character with open arms.

Paramount+’s hit supernatural drama School Spirits has added a '90s horror icon for its season 3 return. Jennifer Tilly is jumping from one supernatural series to another. Ten months after Chucky was canceled, the actor has joined the Season 3 cast of School Spirits.

Per Deadline, Tilly is among the new cast additions for School Spirits' upcoming third season, which was ordered back in March. “School Spirits” has tapped Jennifer Tilly, Ari Dalbert and Erika Swayze as guest stars for its upcoming third season.

Tilly, Dalbert and Swayze will appear on the the Paramount+ series for the first time when it returns for Season 3, the streamer announced Monday. Tilly will play school superintendent Dr. Deborah Hunter-Price while Dalbert plays Kyle and Swayze plays Livia.

Season 3, which officially began production in Vancouver on Monday, also upped Ci Hang Ma and Miles Elliot to series regulars.

Debbie Nightingale, a co-founder of the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival, which eventually became the largest documentary event in North America, died July 10 after a bout with cancer. She was 71.

“Every part of the Hot Docs we know today grew from what Debbie helped establish,” execs at the Toronto-based festival said in a statement. “She recognized the importance of documentary filmmaking and providing a place where filmmakers, funders and audiences could connect. Without her, we wouldn’t be here. Her legacy will be forever felt, and she will be truly missed.”

Hollywood is mourning the loss of Michael Madsen, who died Thursday, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed. He was 67.

The actor, known for his work in many Quentin Tarantino films like Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill, The Hateful Eight and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, was found unresponsive by deputies responding to a 911 call at his home in Malibu. His rep told THR Madsen had “a cardiac arrest.”

Following the news, stars and family took to social media to share tributes to Madsen. His sister and Candyman actress Virginia Madsen posted a photo of them with her mom, writing partly in the caption, “He was thunder and velvet. Mischief wrapped in tenderness. A poet disguised as an outlaw. A father, a son, a brother — etched in contradiction, tempered by love that left its mark. We’re not mourning a public figure. We’re not mourning a myth — but flesh and blood and ferocious heart.

Michael Madsen died July 3 at 67, and his family, co-stars and famous admirers are posting tributes to the Reservoir Dogs star.

The stylist is the newest addition to Rhobh in the long-running reality series.

Zoe is not a new personality to Bravo as she starred in The Rachel Zoe Project for five seasons on the network. The reality series premiered in 2008 and ended in 2013 after 38 episodes.
