The official YouTube account of Mbs unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming live-action adaptation of Shinichi Fukuda’s popular manga My Dress-Up Darling on Sep 25, 2024.

Two versions of the same trailer were released. One version of the trailer features the opening theme song “Princess Hero” by Cho Tokimeki Sendenbu, while the other version showcases the ending theme song “Lovely Baby” by Pedro.

The series is set to premiere on Oct 8, 2024 in the Dramaism programming block on Mbs, with additional broadcasts on TBS.

The popular My Dress-Up Darling series unveils its first trailer for its upcoming live-action drama, featuring protagonist Marin Kitagawa in one of her most notable cosplay.

Via Anime! Anime!, My Dress-Up Darling revealed its first trailer for its upcoming live-action adaptation, featuring Riko Nagase as Marin Kitagawa and Kota Nomura as Wakana Gojo. First-look images of Marin in cosplay were also revealed, notably including Shizuku-tan, as were the opening and ending theme songs, "Princess Hero" by girl group Tokimeki Sendenbu, and "Lovely Baby" by Pedro, respectively. The 30-second trailer was released in two versions featuring both songs which can be seen below.

The official website for the upcoming live-action drama adaptation of Shinichi Fukuda's cosplay-themed romantic comedy manga series My Dress-Up Darling today released a poster visual (see above) featuring the two main cast members — Kota Nomura as the male protagonist, Wakana Gojo, and Riko Nagase as the main heroine, Marin Kitagawa. In this visual, Nomura shows his samue (work clothes Wakana wears when he creates dolls and cosplay costumes) costume for the first time. The site also revealed four new cast members — Akana Ikeda as Sajuna Inui, a cosplayer who goes by the name "Juju," Kokoro Toyoshima as Shinju Inui, Sajuna's younger sister, Daichi Shiozaki as Chitose Amano, a cross-dressing cosplayer who goes by the name "Amane Himeno," and Meikyo Yamada as Kaoru Gojo, Wakana's grandfather and and a master of the Kashishi craft. The upcoming live-action drama series for My Dress-Up Darling has unveiled additional cast images, alongside a special visual of Gojo and the 'bisque doll'-like Marin in new a promotional artwork release.

Via Comic Natalie, My Dress-Up Darling revealed four additional members joining its cast. Akana Ikeda will play Sajuna Inui, with Kokoro Toyoshima portraying her younger sister, Shinju Inui, Daichi Shiozaki has been cast as Chitose Amano, while Meikyo Yamada portrays Gojo's grandfather, Kaoru Gojo. New images of the cast in their on-screen outfits, as well as a special visual of Gojo and Marin capturing the referencing the 'doll' part of the series' Japanese title, can be seen below.
