One Dexter: Resurrection Theory Suggests Prater’s Been Lining Up the Perfect Predator for Years
Image
Imagine this: What if Leon Prater (Peter Dinklage) set up the serial killer club as part of his elaborate plan to lure in the Bay Harbor Butcher? The Dexter: Resurrection plot twists feel like a gift that keeps on giving. And an up-and-coming fan theory suggests we might just have another on our hands.

According to the theory, Prater, owing to his connections inside the FBI, might be privy to knowledge about the Bay Harbor Butcher case that never went public. He might know that the evidence against Sergeant James Doakes (Erik King) doesn’t add up. The elite serial killer gatherings Prater’s been organizing for all these years could simply be a setup to entice the killer of all killers: our very own Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall).

The theory also states Prater might not know who the Bhb is, but that he does know he’s still out there,...

Dexter Alum Feels 'Heartbroken' After Getting Left Out of Resurrection
Image
Dexter: Resurrection brings back Michael C. Hall and other stars from the original series, but there wasn't room for everyone to return. That's left at least one Dexter alum feeling bummed about getting left out.

In the classic Dexter, Julie Benz co-starred as Rita, Dexter Morgan's girlfriend (and later wife). After starring in the first four seasons, Benz had her character shockingly killed off, though she later popped back up for a flashback sequence. Dexter is also known to have visions of other deceased characters, so it was certainly possible for Rita to make an appearance somehow in Resurrection. However, per Bingetown TV, Benz said she is not going to appear in the new show.

Dexter: Resurrection Episode 3 hid a surprise appearance from two of the fans’ favorite characters from the Og, and it was everything you would expect and more. In only a few minutes of screen time, these fan favorites were able to thrust us right back to the 2000s and relive the Dexter glory days. The best part? These appearances were not even confirmed prior to the episode’s release, and that makes us wonder, what other surprises could Resurrection have in store for the Og fans?

This ‘Dexter’ Alum Would Love to Return to His “Delicious” Character for ‘Resurrection’
Image
When one has enjoyed a long, storied career in acting, there comes a time when they notch up several iconic roles to their name. Shawn Hatosy’s career fits that bill, and he has earned his first ever Emmy nomination for his role in HBO Max's medical drama, The Pitt, where he plays Dr. Jack Abbot. Following his nomination, Hatosy sat down with Deadline to discuss his most iconic characters over the years. One of them resides in the Dexter television series.

In recent times, the television franchise has been revived with Dexter: Resurrection bringing back the most notorious serial killers to life. Developed by Clyde Phillips, the new show brings back Michael C. Hall as the titular Dexter Morgan, with the show serving as a sequel to Dexter: New Blood and Dexter. The off-shoot has also featured cameos from John Lithgow as Arthur “Trinity Killer” Mitchell, and Jimmy Smits as Miguel Prado.

Shawn Hatosy Reveals If He’d Like To Resurrect ‘Dexter’ Serial Killer Role; Talks Working With Jason Beghe On ‘Chicago P.D.’
Image
Clyde Phillips’ Dexter: Resurrection has been reanimating many of the franchise’s most prolific serial killers, including the titular Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), alongside cameos from John Lithgow as Arthur “Trinity Killer” Mitchell, and Jimmy Smits as Miguel Prado in the Season 1 premiere. And while they have their freshman season already in the can, there are plenty of other names to throw into the hat.

In conversation with Deadline following the announcement of his first Emmy nomination for his work in HBO Max’s The Pitt, Hatosy reflected on some of the most impactful characters he’s played, including serial killer Boyd Fowler from Dexter‘s fifth season. He noted in our story yesterday that when picking characters, he tries to find something to love about them.

“Absolutely. That was a delicious character. So much going on; talk about layers,” Hatosy said about potentially reprising the role on the new Showtime spinoff.

Michael C. Hall Reveals Impulse That Resurrected Dexter; Talks Joyous Yet Complicated Reunion With Batista
Image
Spoiler Alert: The following reveals major plot points for the Dexter: Resurrection series premiere

Michael C. Hall is back as Dexter Morgan in Showtime’s Dexter: Resurrection, having cheated death again and ready to slay more serial killer butt. The first two episodes are available to stream now.

The new spinoff follows the events of Dexter: New Blood, which ended with Dexter’s son, Harrison (Jack Alcott), shooting his very first serial killer, his dad. Dexter decided it was time he be taken out, having reemerged with his dark passenger, unable to release the monster inside. It’s part of the code, after all.

In the first moments of Dexter: Original Sin, it’s revealed that the titular killer had survived the attempt on his life and had been rushed to the hospital. The prequel spinoff, starring Patrick Gibson as young Dexter, follows the serial killer in training as...

Dexter: Resurrection Episode 1 Brings Back Multiple Dead Characters In A Clever Way
Image
Note: The first episode of "Dexter: Resurrection" is now streaming on Paramount+ Premium, and debuts on Showtime at 8pm Et this Sunday night. This post contains spoilers for the premiere episode.

Showtime was adamant about Michael C. Hall's eponymous serial killer staying alive in the "Dexter" finale, and now we know why. The character's popularity among viewers means that he can always be brought back for more slaughter-filled adventures, and it was only a matter of time until the Bay Harbor Butcher struck again. The revival series, "Dexter: New Blood," caught up with Dexter Morgan years after faking his own death, revealing that he moved from Miami to a small town, where he lived under a fake alias. It was only a matter of time until he got into trouble again, though, and the series ended with his son shooting him in the chest and leaving him for dead.

Michael C. Hall on the ‘Dexter’ Confrontation He Was Always Waiting For
Image
[This story contains major spoilers for the series premiere of Dexter: Resurrection.]

Dexter Morgan died once before, born again as a lumberjack and eventually an upstate New York man about town. What’s one more resurrection between friends?

After getting fatally shot in the heart in the 2022 finale of Dexter: New Blood, Michael C. Hall’s outlandishly lucky serial killer-killing serial killer once again stalks the land, thanks to the latest entry in the franchise, Dexter: Resurrection.

The series premiere (the first two episodes began streaming on Friday) reveals how Dexter survived a point-blank gunshot wound to the chest, leveled his way by son Harrison (Jack Alcott), thanks to the violence occurring in the midst of radically cold temperatures. Just a few degrees warmer and Dexter would be as dead as all the villains he’s killed in the past. Instead Resurrection finds him alive, if not exactly well, as he suffers through an existential end-of-life crisis littered with ghosts...

Dexter: Resurrection season 1 episode 1 recap: Dexter Morgan reborn
Image
This post contains spoilers from Dexter: Resurrection season 1 episode 1 from this point forward.

It’s been four years since we last caught up with Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall). In the sequel series, Dexter: New Blood, we met him living in a small, secluded little town in upstate New York. He was going by the name Jim Lindsay, and he was living a quiet life. He owned a store. He kept up with his fitness. He had a girlfriend—the Chief of Police, no less—and he kept his urges in check.

All that came undone as his son, Harrison (Jack Alcott), found him. Dexter was forced to confront his past and to try and pass on something to his son. But it didn’t take long for things to go off the rails. His past surfaced. He faced new challenges. And as the show closed, Harrison took aim and shot his father.

Dexter: Resurrection Season 1 Episode 1 Review: A Beating Heart
Image
Dexter Morgan is back — from the near-dead, no less — and Dexter: Resurrection wastes no time letting us know it’s going to honor the franchise’s legacy while taking things in a new direction.

Whether or not you were a fan of New Blood, this resurrection feels like a return to form. Not because Dexter is suddenly a changed man — he’s still a man at war with himself — but because the show leans into its long history of ghosts, guilt, and gory justice.

The premiere episode, “A Beating Heart,” sets the tone for a season that seems poised to ask whether redemption is even on the table… and if it is, what it’s going to cost.

Dexter Can’t Stay Dead. So Here Are 37 Thoughts From My Rewatch That I Couldn’t Keep to Myself
Image
You can’t keep a good serial killer down — especially not when there’s IP to exploit.

Dexter Morgan is set to return (again) in Dexter: Resurrection, despite being definitively killed off in New Blood and then casually voiceover-resurrected in Original Sin (a show I loved).

But before Showtime unpacks another bloody chapter, we took a trip down memory lane. And let’s just say… wow. The things we overlooked the first time around? Absolutely unhinged.

(Showtime/Screenshot)

Dexter is poised for yet another chapter. And frankly, it’s the perfect time to revisit the madness that got us here.

While rewatching the series, I noticed just how many moments — big, small, and plastic-wrapped — have aged into either brilliant nuance or total unhinged chaos.

From bizarre kill rituals to forgotten guest stars, these are the 37 things living rent-free in my head.

Original Dexter Villain Actor Teases Return In Sequel Series After 14-Year Absence
Image
One key actor who played an original Dexter villain recently teased that he will make his franchise return in the upcoming sequel series Dexter: Resurrection. Following the streaming success of the Dexter prequel series Original Sin, which was released last year, Resurrection will become the third Dexter spin-off series and the second to star original Dexter actor Michael C. Hall. After Dexter had apparently died in Dexter: New Blood, the opening scene of Original Sin proved that Dexter did survive a near-fatal gunshot from his son, Harrison. The trailer for Dexter: Resurrection features the serial killer protagonist on a new adventure set in New York City.

In a TikTok posted on June 12, actor Christian Camargo – who played Brian Moser, aka The Ice Truck Killer in Dexter season 1 – hinted at his return in Dexter: Resurrection. In the social media post, Camargo was on a TV production set before teasing his wardrobe...

Dexter’s Most Painful Exit Is About to Be Undone by Reviving the One Who Paid the Price

The haunting memory of James Doakes, the intelligent, no-nonsense sergeant who came terrifyingly close to exposing Dexter Morgan’s dark secret, is being resurrected. After years of being absent from the franchise, Erik King is supposedly making a return in the upcoming Dexter: Resurrection series.

Because the character met a shocking end in Season 2, the revival doesn’t plan on literally resurrecting him. Instead, Doakes will be appearing as a hallucination, making him a part of Dexter’s emotional torment. ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ May Have Hinted How Masuka Can Return After Batista’s Major Role
Image
The upcoming series in the Dexter-verse, Dexter: Resurrection, is set to bring back some of the most iconic and memorable characters from the original series. Among these returning figures are the Trinity Killer, Miguel Prado, Harry Morgan, and Angel Batista, who is expected to play a major role alongside Michael C. Hall.

However, amid Batista’s significant return, there have also been hints about the comeback of another fan-favorite, the humorous and awkward Vince Masuka, known for his off-color jokes and sharp forensic expertise.

Could Vince Masuka possibly return in Dexter: Resurrection?

Amid the return of several characters from the original series in Dexter: Resurrection, one name that keeps popping up is Vince Masuka. Known for his crude sense of humor and razor-sharp forensic skills, Masuka, played by C.S. Lee, was a constant source of comic relief throughout Dexter’s original run.

'Dexter: Resurrection' Trailer Reveals Michael C. Hall's Killer Return
Image
Although it seemed that Dexter’s journey had finally come to an end following the character’s “death,” you really cannot keep a good killer down. Dexter: Resurrection is now just over a month away from binging back Michael C. Hall’s ever-popular vigilante serial killer, and that means it is time for a brand-new trailer to whet the appetite for this follow-up to Dexter: New Blood. Surprise motherf***er indeed.

When Dexter came to an end in 2013, with a rather disappointing finale for many fans, it seemed like that was it for the killer ways of the character. But almost a decade later, Dexter: New Blood picked up the story, bringing in, as the title suggests, plenty of new blood to the franchise while also bringing back Hall in the titular role. Last year, the prequel series Dexter: Original Sin became yet another unexpected addition to the franchise.

Michael C. Hall in Dexter (2006)
Dexter: Resurrection gets a premiere date and a trailer!
Michael C. Hall in Dexter (2006)
For eight seasons and 96 episodes, from 2006 to 2013, the series Dexter ran on Showtime, telling the story of Dexter Morgan, a blood spatter analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department who is also a vigilante serial killer. Clyde Phillips was showrunner on Dexter for the first four seasons, and in 2021 he and Showtime brought us the revival series Dexter: New Blood… which, for a time, also seemed to be the end of it all. But that’s not the case. Showtime has tasked Phillips with continue to build up the Dexter franchise, with the prequel series Dexter: Original Sin premiering back in December and a New Blood follow-up called Dexter: Resurrection, which heard was heading for a June premiere date. It’s actually going to miss June by a handful of days, as Showtime has revealed (and trades like The Hollywood Reporter have confirmed) that Dexter: Resurrection is going to premiere with two episodes on Friday,...

The first official trailer for the upcoming Dexter sequel series, Dexter: Resurrection, has been released by Paramount+ with Showtime at Ccxp Mexico 2025. Created by Dexter: New Blood and Dexter: Original Sin showrunner Clyde Phillips, Dexter: Resurrection will take place after the events of Dexter: New Blood, which ended with Dexter seemingly being shot and killed by his adult son, Harrison. The new trailer for Dexter: Resurrection shows Michael C. Hall's iconic Dexter Morgan hitting the streets of New York City. ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Won’t Bring Back Jennifer Carpenter but the Story Can Still Honor Her With a Forgotten Character
Image
There are very few characters who’ve left an impact quite as lasting as Debra Morgan in the twisted world of Dexter. Played to perfection by Jennifer Carpenter, Debra was the emotionally complex, sharp-tongued sister of Dexter Morgan. Deb essentially served as the original series’ emotional anchor. As Dexter: Resurrection gets ready for release in 2025, fans are eager to see familiar faces return.

While it’s been confirmed we won’t be seeing Deb hurling her signature foul-mouthed comments in the upcoming series, her absence in no way means her presence will vanish. The reboot series has the golden opportunity to honor Deb’s legacy by bringing back a character closely connected to her past: Detective Joseph Quinn. His return holds the power to righteously serve as the emotional core we didn’t know we needed.

‘Dexter: Resurrection’: Jennifer Carpenter Not Returning Is a Bummer but I Have an Idea What’s Happening
Image
Jennifer Carpenter has always been a central figure in the Dexter universe, portraying Debra Morgan. Her absence from the upcoming Dexter: Resurrection is sure to disappoint fans, but it may also affect Dexter himself, potentially opening the door to intriguing plot developments.

Debra shared a deep, complicated bond with Dexter and met a tragic end in the original series finale. She returned in New Blood as a manifestation of Dexter’s inner voice, replacing the role once filled by Harry. However, Carpenter has stated that she’s not particularly interested in returning for Resurrection, making her absence both notable and narratively significant.

How might Debra’s absence affect Dexter in Dexter: Resurrection?

After playing Debra Morgan for 8 seasons in the original series and reprising her role in Dexter: New Blood, Jennifer Carpenter has confirmed that she won’t be returning for Dexter: Resurrection.

First 'Dexter: Resurrection' Images Reveal Michael C. Hall, Uma Therman & Peter Dinklage
Image
The Dexteruniverse is expanding once again with another continuation series, this time set after the events of the short-lived revival series Dexter: New Blood. While fans were almost sure that the titular vigilante serial killer had finally met his fate, Resurrection will see Michael C. Hall once again portray Dexter. He will be facing a violent past and present that will surely bring about another exciting chapter in the never-ending franchise.

Courtesy of Vanity Fair, a pair of new images from Dexter: Resurrection were released featuring Michael C. Hall as Dexter Morgan, Jack Alcott as Harrison Morgan, James Remar as Harry Morgan, David Zayas as Angel Batista, Uma Thurman, and Peter Dinklage. The star-studded affair follows a new page in Dexter's life as he is distant from his son, which is quite understandable after Harrison killed his father in the New Blood finale (or at least tried to). Meanwhile, a...

Dexter: Resurrection adds Marc Menchaca and Reese Antoinette as guest stars
Image
For eight seasons and 96 episodes, from 2006 to 2013, the series Dexter ran on Showtime, telling the story of Dexter Morgan, a blood spatter analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department who is also a vigilante serial killer. Clyde Phillips was showrunner on Dexter for the first four seasons, and in 2021 he and Showtime brought us the revival series Dexter: New Blood… which, for a time, also seemed to be the end of it all. But that’s not the case. Filming on Dexter: Resurrection is currently underway – and Deadline has revealed that Marc Menchaca (Ozark) and Reese Antoinette (Bad Monkey) have guest starring roles in this batch of episodes.

Dexter: Original Sin renewed for season 2
Image
Dexter Morgan’s origin story will continue as it’s been announced that Dexter: Original Sin has been renewed for season 2 at Paramount+ with Showtime.

The prequel is set in 1991 and follows Dexter (Patrick Gibson) as he transitions from student to avenging serial killer. “When his bloodthirsty urges can’t be ignored any longer, Dexter must learn to channel his inner darkness,” reads the official description. “With the guidance of his father, Harry (Christian Slater), he adopts a Code designed to help him find and kill people who deserve to be eliminated from society without getting on law enforcement’s radar. This is a particular challenge for young Dexter as he begins a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department.” A writers room for the new season will begin work soon, with production dates set to be announced later.

I’ll admit that I wasn’t overly keen on...

Dexter: Resurrection Set to Bring Back Another Major Villain From Original Series
Image
The number of familiar faces that will be seen in Dexter: Resurrectioncontinues to grow. The upcoming series, which will serve as a new sequel for Dexter and Dexter: New Blood, will arrive on Showtime and Paramount+ this summer.

Per Deadline, it's been revealed that actor Jimmy Smits has joined Dexter: Resurrection to reprise his role as Assistant District Attorney Miguel Prado. In the original Dexter, Smits made his debut as Miguel in the show's third season. Taking a page from Dexter, Miguel ended up becoming a murderous vigilante himself, though he didn't abide by the "Code" that Dexter strongly believes in. By the end of the season, Dexter had killed Miguel, though the character would remain one of the most memorable of the original series' run.

"When I signed on to do Dexter a couple of years back it was with that kind of conscious intention to take [my] perceived...

'Dexter: Resurrection' Adds Another Familiar Name in Jimmy Smits
Image
It's been three years since we last saw Michael C. Hall as our beloved vigilante serial killer in Dexter: New Blood, and while he made a brief appearance at the beginning of Original Sin, Dexter: Resurrection will feature his full-time return to the character first made famous in the novels by Jeff Lindsay. This time around, Hall will be joined by a lot of fresh names, but we now know of another familiar face from the original series that will also be along for the ride: Jimmy Smits.

Per Deadline, Smits will reprise his role of Miguel Prado, despite Dexter killing him in the Season 3 episode "The Damage a Man Can Do." At first a friend to Dexter who knew of his Dark Passenger, Prado's own lust for revenge clouded his decision-making as things progressed, leading to the Assistant District Attorney finding himself wrapped in plastic on Dexter's kill table.

Lithgow starred as serial killer Arthur Mitchell, better known as the Trinity Killer, in the fourth season of “Dexter” and made a cameo in “Dexter: New Blood.” Smits played Season 3 antagonist Miami Assistant District Attorney Miguel Prado.

Dexter Morgan is alive!

The 2021 revival series Dexter: New Blood ended with everyone's favorite serial killer being apparently murdered by his son, Harrison. However, the 2024 prequel series Dexter: Original Sin revealed that Dexter survived the shooting and was rushed to the hospital, where the emergency room doctors worked their magic on him. "I've experienced death so many times, but never my own," Michael C. Hall's titular character said in voice-over. "Ahh, a beating heart. I'll take it."

That brings us to Dexter: Resurrection, which has a release date of Summer 2025 on Paramount+ and Showtime. Production began in January 2025 in New York, with Hall back as the former blood spatter analyst who's now living on the run after being outed as a serial killer known as the Bay Harbor Butcher.

The original Dexter series aired for eight seasons on Showtime between 2006 and 2013, winning four Emmy Awards along the way for...

Is Dexter: Original Sin Getting a Season 2?
Image
This article discusses death by suicide.

As far as prequel series go, Dexter: Original Sin did a fine job of bringing the origin story of Dexter Morgan from Dexter to life. This, most notably, included the building of The Code with his father Harry which shaped Dexter’s vigilante killer mentality for the rest of his life. The series marks the second spin-off in the franchise following Dexter: New Blood, which continued the story years after Dexter left off. The next in sequence will be Dexter: Resurrection, coming this summer.

As a prequel, Dexter: Original Sin features an entirely new cast of actors playing younger versions of characters from the original, along with new characters. In some cases, there are new actors playing characters seen only in flashbacks in Dexter. Now that the first season has ended, however, fans are eager to learn if it will be coming back for a second.

Dexter: Original Sin Subtly Brings Back 2 Major Villains From the Original Show
Image
As a prequel series, Dexter: Original Sin is chock-full of Easter Eggs from the original series Dexter. This includes the most obvious ones, including all the main characters that reappear, played by different actors to portray them as younger. The series tells the origin story of Dexter Morgan and his first kills under the guidance of his father Harry, and his Code.

There were plenty of villains in Dexter, including the most notorious one, The Trinity Killer, played by John Lithgow. But two have been brought back in Dexter: Original Sin in a subtle fashion, one in a blink-and-you-might-have-missed-it moment.

Dexter: Original Sin’s Latest Episode Had 2 Major Cameos of Future Villains

Dexter: Original Sinhad two of its biggest cameos by major players from the original series. The prequel show, which shows the early years of The Bay Harbor Butcher, just gave fans two glances and two characters who will have major impacts on the lives of the Morgans.

So far, the prequel series has explored the origins of Dexter Morgan (Patrick Gibson). While showing that before he becomes and removes the worst dredges of Miami’s population, Original Sin also shows the messy web that tangles all of the Miami Metro and leads directly into events taking place in the original series.

Scariest Dexter Villains of All Time, Ranked
Image
The Showtime series Dexter, based on the Jeff Lindsay novels, was a massive hit for the network when it debuted in 2006. Although the crime drama saw reviews wane slightly after season four, it continued for eight seasons. The show also spawned a limited series sequel seven years after the show ended called Dexter: New Blood, and a prequel series called Dexter: Original Sin, now airing.

Since the protagonist Dexter Morgan was a vigilante serial killer, he often crossed paths with terrifying, evil villains who became his victims. Some of these individuals were more disturbing than others. Whether it was the heinous ways they killed or what they did before or after, the scariest Dexter villains would make headlines if they existed in real life, for all the wrong reasons.

Updated by Arthur Goyaz, December 16, 2024: The prequel series Dexter: Original Sin has recently premiered, and it's time for fans to...

Dexter: Every Character Who Knew About His Dark Passenger (& How They Found Out)
Image
Although Dexter's killer protagonist was always careful not to get caught, there were a number of key characters who find out about Dexter Morgans dark passenger over the course of the series. Dexter documents the life of Dexter Morgan, a vigilante serial killer who also happens to be the blood-spatter analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department. Dexter operates his serial killing unconventionally, sticking to a strict code where he can only kill those who deserve it confirmed murderers who have evaded the justice system.

While trying to appease his dark passengers need for blood, Dexter has to carefully avoid getting caught while on the hunt and after he kills. His most important rule while serial killing is to not be caught, which means not letting anyone know his real identity or acting in a way those around him find suspicious. Aside from his many victims who obviously knew...

Why Dexter Morgan Really Takes Blood Slides As Trophies (Is It A Plot Hole?)
Michael C. Hall in Dexter (2006)
Blood slides play a major role in Dexter, but the show doesn't outright explain why the serial killer takes them as trophies, even though they go against the Code of Harry. There are two new Dexter shows in development: the prequel series Dexter: Original Sin and the sequel Dexter: Resurrection. Because of them, the serial killer has regained a portion of the popularity he had in the best seasons of Dexter. Those new shows will likely answer a lot of lingering questions from the original series and Dexter: New Blood, but there's already a response to one big question: why does Dexter take blood slides as trophies?

The very practice of taking blood slides goes against the Code of Harry, the rules and guidelines Harry Morgan gave his adoptive son to keep him from being caught. The blood slides are very concrete, biological evidence that Dexter killed people, and...

Dexter: Best and Worst Characters (Besides Dexter), Ranked
Image
Dexter's variety of characters ranged from best to worst, showcasing the show's depth and complexity in storytelling. Some characters like Maria Laguerta and Debra Morgan stood out as complex, well-developed personalities that added depth to the narrative. On the other hand, characters like Miguel Prado and Lumen Pierce failed to deliver on their potential, disappointing fans of the show.

Throughout its eight seasons, Dexter introduced viewers to various characters beyond the titular serial killer, Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall). Due to the fact that showrunners Clyde Phillips, Chip Johannessen, and Scott Buck were mindful to fill each episode with a wide variety of different personalities, the gap between the best Dexter characters and the worst in the show is vast. One of the best traits of the show is its variety of characters and the psychology behind them although not every Dexter character felt like a worthwhile addition to the narrative.

All 12 Times Dexter's Kills Broke The Code Of Harry
Image
Dexter Morgan, a forensic blood spatter analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department, has a secret: he is a serial killer. However, he only kills other serial killers and follows a strict code of conduct, known as "Harry's Code," established by his adoptive father, Harry Morgan. Throughout the series, Dexter breaks Harry's Code and kills individuals who are not serial killers, often due to personal reasons or in moments of emotional distress.

Throughout Dexter, there were several occasions where the serial killer Dexter Morgan broke the Code of Harry, which guided him in his murderous ways. With an insatiable impulse to kill that Dexter called his Dark Passenger, the Code of Harry was given to him by his adoptive father as a way to put some good into the world while he carried out the murderous tendencies his childhood trauma had given him. The code had several dimensions, the most...
