In 1864 Paraguay, three soldiers abandon their post and seek refuge at a remote farmhouse. The strange owner and a young woman welcome them, but their sanctuary soon becomes a nightmare worse than the battlefield.

Nelson França, played by Selton Melo, is a blind detective who, in his past, contributed to the capture of a notorious serial killer. Years later, when a socialite is murdered, França begins to suspect that the same killer has returned to criminal activity.
