Kathy is on a camping trip when she finds a bamboo boat belonging to Mek, a scientist who has discovered a way of travelling between parallel worlds. Kathy meddles with the controls, sending herself and Mek to the world of Spellbinders.

Ashka sees her chance and offers to help Kathy and Mek escape from the Spellbinders' labor camp if they will take her with them. With no time to set the boat's controls, Mek takes them to his own world, the land of the Dragon Lord.

Scientist Mek tests his new trans-dimensional boat which transports him to another world. Kathy, on a camping trip with her family, finds Mek's boat and accidentally activates it, transporting them both to the land of the Spellbinders.

When Sun is caught outside the borders of his land by Sharak, Ashka uses her power suit to rescue him and instantly becomes his new favorite. Meanwhile, Carl refuses to believe that they are no longer in Australia.

Kathy and Ashka are shocked to discover that the Dragon Lord is actually a young boy, Sun. While Ashka's power suit fails to impress him, Kathy gains favor by offering him chocolate. But they soon realize that he won't let them leave.

Sharak's men hold Vicky and Carl captive, while Josh plays on their superstitions to hide in the camp hoping for a chance to rescue them. Ashka uses Sun's love of chocolate to persuade him to travel with her to Kathy's world.

While Ashka impersonates Aya at her wedding, Josh, Mek and the real Aya work on repairing the oracle, finally restoring the warrior to defeat Sharak once and for all.

Lost and alone in Kathy's world, Sun fails to impress the locals with his claims that he is the Dragon Lord, especially as he believes cars to be man-eating monsters. When Aya takes the throne, Ashka becomes her new advisor.

Kathy escapes from Lem and Guin by pretending to be one of the robots and turns to Dr. Elvo for help, only to discover that he has imprisoned Mek and plans to use the two of them to repopulate the infertile world.

Kathy and Sun return to Sun's world, but soon find themselves on the run from Ashka again. They arrive at Jasmine's village just in time to help Josh escape. Vicky and Carl finally catch sight of their children on the road to the palace.

Dr. Elvo explains to Kathy that a cure for the plague had unexpected side effects, making everyone in their world immortal. Josh helps Ashka to trick Sharak into helping her, by claiming that his computer can predict the future.

Josh evades Sharak's men by swimming across the river and on the other side he meets Jasmine who, confused by his wetsuit and flippers, believes him to be a water spirit and holds him captive to claim her three wishes.

Kathy turns to Tony to help track down the film company that stole the boat, and Sun gets a part in their latest commercial. Jasmine takes Josh back to her village, where the elders consider how they should use the remaining wishes.

While evading capture, Josh and Vicky rescue Sun but they don't get far before running into Ashka again. Kathy and Mek manage to escape from Elvo, but he anticipates their next move and tries to destroy the boat before they get to it.

Kathy and Mek find themselves in a world mostly populated by robots and when they are separated, Kathy is taken prisoner. Meanwhile Ashka kidnaps Josh and sets out to find Sharak, hoping to use him to reclaim her power.

The Morgan family are reunited and together with Sun and Jasmine make their way to the palace, using Jasmine's dragon costume to get past the guards. Ashka sabotages the oracle and attempts to use Mek's boat to escape.

Kathy tries to adapt to life with her clueless but enthusiastic adopted parents, but arguments break out on her first day at school and the Arbiters decide that the only solution is for her to be shared amongst all the families.

Kathy and Mek return to Mek's world, but Sharak's men are waiting for them and take them prisoner. Ashka takes the boat to Kathy's world, but finds herself stranded there when two local boys send the boat back without her.

The malfunctioning boat lands in a warehouse full of old machinery. While Mek tries to repair one of the machines, Kathy finds a village where everyone has been living underground for years and learns that they are terrified of machines.

Aya and Sun pose as Jasmine's cousins to avoid being caught by Sharack's men, but all the villagers insist on bowing every time they see them. Josh and Kathy reluctantly team up with Ashka to track down Bain.

Just as Josh and Sun are on the verge of convincing Sharak to leave, Ashka returns to the palace and quickly sees through their tricks. Kathy and Jez return to the surface and, with Mek's help, they devise a plan to stop the machine.

As the machine wreaks havoc in the village, Jez takes Kathy underground into the old salt mines and Elin explains how the war with the machines started. Meanwhile, Josh and Sun scare Sharak by pretending to be Sun's ghost.

Josh goes back to get the power suit, but he runs into his mother who insists on taking him home where he meets the other Josh. Impatient, Ashka and Kathy take their chance to search the yacht, but Ashka is caught.

Kathy and Josh follow Ashka back to their own world to retrieve the oracle's interface, but discover that something is not quite right when a stranger claims to be Kathy's best friend and Josh sees their father on television.

Realizing that they're not in their own world, Kathy and Josh enlist Tony's help to follow Ashka and the jeweler, hoping to retrieve the interface, but when Bain double-crosses Ashka they find themselves trapped.
