Mariel is a lifeguard concerned with the welfare of people. One day he rescues a suicide at sea and falls in love with his daughter, Margarida Maria, a drug addicted prostitute. Margarida Maria is admitted to a hospice and dies of cocaine overdose. Mariel is again arrested but continues to threaten Lucio Flavio, also detained by police. Both are in different prisons. The war continues between the prisons.
