- This film is a dramatic, colorful parable about migration from the countryside to the urban areas, revealing the deep-rooted attachment of the peasant Ivan Efreytorov to the patriarchal way of life. The newly built dam has submerged his village and his fellow villagers move in prefabricated blocks of flats in the neighboring town. Left alone with his father and his son, Efreytorov is resisting fiercely the imminent change and does not want to leave his native house. Though the native village has disappeared under the water of lake, it still exists in his memories. In his mind's eye he sees the mythological scenes which combine in almost surrealist fashion with his visions of the contemporary world, memories of his dead wife and images of nature in which animals - the dog, the cow, the horse - figure very prominently. After the death of his father and the escape of his son to the town, Efreytorov sees that all his ties with the past are broken. The implacable march of time compels the man of tradition to beat a heartbreaking retreat.
- In prehistoric times the crew of an alien spaceship land on Earth. The commanders decide to lay the foundation for a new civilization, in which they will imprint of their own civilization, which is dying out. Through surgical intervention on apes, the aliens program the future spiritual evolution of Earth. During the operation, the patient wakes up abruptly. Discovering himself as a person, he calls himself Eden. He shocks by what is happening to him and he refuses to participate in such experiment. Eden is tranquilized and this time the volume of knowledge imprinted in his brain stays in his sub-consciousness. The ape is released. During takeoff, the ship crashes and the crew die. The only thing left on Earth is Eden and the hope that he will spawn the human civilization. In the second novel, "The Stranger", the writer, author of criminal novels meets an envoy of an alien civilization. The writer asks him to heal his terminally ill friend. The miracle takes place, but on the way back from the sanatorium, the two earthmen die in a car crash. The third novel is "My first day". Distant future. Len - an ambassador of a distant world visits the Earth. Eden tells him the story of his wife Lena. As a history student Lena was sent back in the 5th century. The girl fell in love with the son of a leader of the tribe - Bayan. The prejudice by his fellow tribesmen dooms their love. Lena returns to her time, while the lovesick Bayan went mad. Len understands that the millennium jump he prepared will destroy the existence of humanity. He decides not to interfere and has a single wish - his first day on this planet to belong to him.
- The film is based on the memoir 'In the name of the People' by Mitka Grybcheva, an activist in the anti-fascist resistance. The action takes place during the WWII and reveals the sharp clash between police power and resistance forces, headed by the Communist Party of Bulgaria. This is a time when, 'in the name of the people', the fighters are setting up underground combat groups, which punish with death their political opponents. The film's characters are specially trained for the purpose young people, members of one such combat group. Against the background of their risky task, in the execution of which they have to pay with their own lives, every facet of their characters stands out. Faced with death they reveal their intimate worlds, their unrealized youthful impulses that have been sacrificed in the name of commands, disparate from the Ten Christian Commandments.
