The Last Chapter is a docu-crime drama that blends key expert interviews and authentic archival footage to support a fictional narrative thread that explores the realities of life in the criminal network of an Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMG). Shot part docu- style and part stylized fiction, the documentary delves into larger universal themes, the human condition, and the dark subculture that captivate thousands of men. The film chronicles the gang life cycle from entering the underworld to the dizzying and perilous journey of exiting. For viewers, the series connects what seems like disparate events into a complex network of cause and effect. Donnie Knotts, a gritty warehouse worker, moonlights as a semi- professional boxer to make ends meet. In boxing parlance, he's known as a 'tomato can', a guy put in front of his opponent to take a beating. At the time our story begins, his life is at a dead end, he constantly seeks opportunity. Through a rise up the ranks of the Death Head Motorcycle Club (DHMC), he falls into a dizzying spiral of booze/drugs, violence, criminality, addiction and ultimately murder. The gritty hand held style of the narrative companion will show the streets as they really are: full of untold secrets and lies, mired in a haze of dysfunction. The story is developed from actual cases to form one main storyline. As nothing should happen on screen that hasn't happened on the streets. Throughout his steadfast rise in the gang, Donnie makes choices that leaves him little to no options. He makes a decision that could leave him and his loved ones in grave danger.
