Together they discover new places, like the meadow and the beach, and they come across other animals they have never met before. MISS MOXY is a handsome, musical, somewhat arrogant and domesticated cat, who lives with JOOSJE (9) and her parents in a neighborhood of a medium-sized city in the Netherlands. Joosje and Miss Moxy love each other and enjoy playing the piano together. Outside, Miss Moxy has a group of cat friends, The Pink Ladies. Under the leadership of PINK, they rule the neighborhood and regard everyone but them as idiots who stink or just come for food. One day Joosje and her parents go on holiday to a farm in the south of France and Joosje smuggles Miss Moxy along with her. The holiday farm is run by RITA (40), who seems very nice, but in reality is a very mean and ambitious landlady. Rita has a dog, a boxer named TUUR, who she trains to walk a tightrope, dressed in a sailor suit, in preparation for the Animals Got Talent Show. The show will be broadcast around the world. Rita sees her chances increasing in the beautiful piano-playing Miss Moxy and secretly locks her in the basement. Joosje searches everywhere for Miss Moxy, but in the end the family has to go home without her, leaving both Joosje and Miss Moxy shattered. Miss Moxy now only wants one thing: to go home. Tuur is a guard at the door of her prison. She devises a ruse by portraying her home as a dog's paradise of freedom and promising to show him how to get there. He gets in and she leaves. It is the beginning of a long adventurous journey in which Miss Moxy, initially reluctantly, learns to accept the help of a dog and an old bird, creatures that The Pink Ladies despised at home...
