- In the early 1990s, apart from regular readers of Marvel comics, few had heard of Rogue, Beast, Gambit or Wolverine. But that sad reality changed forever when "X-Men: The Animated Series" premiered on television and shocked millions of viewers eager to see something different. It was unlike any animated series before it, exploring themes of prejudice and social justice. Its characters were super-powerful, but they were also outcasts, marginalized. Children around the world could identify with them, as could adults. "Reunited" looks back at the birth of "X-Men: The Animated Series" and discusses its return 30 years later as "X-Men '97." Hang out with the original cast and some new voices, and you'll discover the story behind the original series and its hard-hitting sequel.
