- Synopsis
- TV miniseries of 10 episodes. Adaptation of the well-known novel by Benito Pérez Galdós. The action takes place between 1865 and 1876. Juan, only son of the Santa Cruz family, a rich merchant family, meets Fortunata, a girl of humble origin, and between them a passionate love arises. However, Juan's mother decides to marry her son to her niece Jacinta. After the honeymoon, Jacinta, whose main occupation is charity work, begins to worry about not getting pregnant. Meanwhile, Fortunata meets a young man whom she ends up marrying. Some time later, Juan and Fortunata meet again. (FILMAFFINITY)
