“symbols” is a transitional EP that bridges the gap between two albums, two styles, and two periods for Untitled With Drums. Since "Hollow" (rec. Serge Morattel - Geneva), released in March 2020 at the dawn of the COVID-19 pandemic — and featured on year-end lists in New Noise, Guitar Part, CVLT Nation, Exit Muzik... — the band has let time run. Time to play this first album live — at Hellfest 2022, opening for Deftones at Les Nuits de Fourvière in 2022, and at Desertfest London 2023, among others — and time to live (in this strange period when artists must produce music ever faster, ever more consumable to feed platforms that, in the end, only end up swallowing them up).
After an intense period of composition, Untitled With Drums share its first tracks since 2020.
These four tracks sound like a milestone, a snapshot of what the band has to offer at the end of 2025. We await the next chapter.
