Each element he’s worked on and artist he has worked with, has allowed Alex to expand and elaborate on his own journey and
development as a DJ and producer.
Alex’s professional career began at Trinity College of Music, where he was awarded a full scholarship to study classical guitar and double bass. As a producer and composer, he’s written bespoke music for brands such as GQ, Vogue, The Ritz Carlton, Viacom, and the West One Music label. He has performed at a variety of venues and festivals including, Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Samphire Festival, XOYO, Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, The Barbican as well as live broadcasts on the BBC.
His role as head A&R of Dream Diary Records involves seeking out and cultivating talent, overseeing production timelines and budget, whilst also coordinating PR and radio campaigns. Alex has a very hands-on approach, ensuring the production quality is always at an optimum standard and more importantly, maintained consistently at this level. Dream Diary’s releases see support and airplay from BBC regulars Pete Tong, Lauren Laverne, Jaguar, Jack Saunders, Danny Howard and Annie Mac.
Alex has always seen his own repertoire as being directly influenced by the club scene, with a respectful nod to his classically trained roots. This led to him releasing his first solo EP ‘First Relic’ in 2020, which gathered notable support from Ame, Richie Hawtin, and Sasha – who featured a track in his April ReConnect set for Beatport. This year will see more club-focused releases from Alex, including a joint EP with Lawrence Hart who’s recent “Surrender Yourself" EP, a project Alex helped produce, became Pete
Tong’s essential new tune on 2 occasions and received full support from a roster of Radio 1 DJs.
Alongside his own music, Alex continues to dedicate his time to developing artists with tracks due out this year from rising stars; Sami Nathan, Verushka, Roger Spy, Jess Winter, Wallace, Sofia Lafuente, Dan
March.
