Welcome to DCU Healthy
DCU Healthy is a university-wide initiative at Dublin City University (DCU) focused on promoting the health and wellbeing of the entire campus community. It aims to establish DCU as a health-promoting university by supporting the physical, mental, social, and emotional wellbeing of students and staff.
What is unique about DCU Healthy is that it asks each member of the DCU community to play a role in developing a campus environment which is safe, supportive and inclusive. As a community, we look out for each other, intervene in inappropriate behaviour when it is safe to do so, offer support, and point to support services, where relevant. By doing this, our academic, personal, social and professional lives will be greatly enhanced. Join us on this journey!
Apart from the excellent resources available under each theme below, you will find a range of books in our libraries to help with your self-care and maintain your personal wellbeing.
Our Six Key Themes
Below, we have focused on the six key areas which need attention to maintain a healthy balance. The advice we provide is hands-on, practical and can be incorporated into our daily lives. Making small changes on a daily basis soon leads to significant improvement in our health, well-being and quality of life.
