I’ll give it a 3.5. Was so looking forward to this second novel by Alex Michaelides. And it was a thrilling page-turner with a clever plot —- a Greek tragedy that unfolds among students studying Greek tragedies at Cambridge. But unless you have a degree or specialization in that genre, some of the finer literary allusions may be lost on you, as they were on me. That said, as I read, I couldn’t stop casting the book for a future film on the Lifetime Movie Network. And to add a Swiss (cheese) cast to the plot, a few plot holes left me wondering. Good summer beach read — and not to worry if you get sunscreen on the pages.
