Tucker, what exactly turned you off from The Binding?
What did you think of Nix’s Abhorsen Series? What did you think about Wexler’s Forbidden Library Series? They are among my favourite series & really show love of literature that revelled Inkheart.

If this novel asks to come home with you: SAY NO! It will save both of you a lot of pain.

ha! it hasn't followed me home yet because i am trying to be better about *not* buying hardcovers, but i still look at it in stores. should i stop encouraging it?

In my opinion, yes! There so many nice books out there and this novel is not really what its synopsis makes it out to be.

I enjoyed the first half of the novel, though the main character was a bit too "sullen teenageboy" for my taste. The second half felt like YA and all characters were flat and unconvincing.
