elsie i love you, but i hated this.
i should have seen this 2 star coming, but i trusted elsie to deliver and i was disappointed. i have never read an ex-bf dad trope and assumed i wouldn’t like it, and i didn’t, but now i can officially say this isnt for me!
i did not connect with our main characters at all. they felt very surface level and had absolutely no chemistry. where was the banter?? absolutely non existent.
bash was a MANCHILD. a 40 year old, temper-tantrum throwing child. he was whining over being jealous over his kid and i cringed. i cringed hard. “i saw her first!” BOY BYE. a walking ick, gwen please run away.
tripp was a spoiled kid but tell me why i liked him more than bash…
i will say, the meet-cute was very cute. that’s probably my favorite part of the book.
love ya elsie, but this was not it. excited for your next series tho!
