there's a valuable lesson to be learned here and it's that when you see the entire goodreads community read and five star the same book you run as fast as you can in the other direction

i especially enjoyed the mediocre writing, boring love story, and the "this might as well happen" plot where an allegedly frail and weak character is at the same time overpowered as fuck and gets everything handed to her on a silver platter. 0 stars.

chrysa, please don't abandon me, i can find a good book to buddy read, i am sure i still have it in me

atria i've seen people rate it 5 stars or 1 star and no in between. i guess this book knows how to explore extremities lol

K I was literally waiting for this review 😭 I saw an excerpt and knew it wasn’t gonna end well

Ana (Hiatus) Thankfully, I found someone else who hated it too! It makes me very happy.

message 4: by joanna (new)

joanna I hope your review doesn’t get as many nasty comments as your one update did! Thanks for reminding me why I should never trust the book community lol

Seren ⟡ happy to see another 1-star review in a sea of 5-star ones. this book was so horrible

Lady_fries 😭😭 no way i just got the audiobook and now i feel i might regret it.

Greta I enjoyed it because it felt like a movie in my head but god you’re so right it was copied from a lot of other books and Violet didn’t make sense as a main character

Ana | SheSaidYestoBooks My thoughts exactly! I found the plot a bit too juvenile. And if you've seen The Bachelor that's essentially how dragons pick their riders here🤭 The romance was lackluster, to be honest. Where was the tension that enemies to lovers brings into the story? I really can’t understand the hype.
