Таке тільки знизить рівень твору й не справить належного враження на глядачів із подвижницьким характером. Ні, герой має порятуватися від своєї внутрішньої слабкості, яка може призвести до безчестя. Йому треба протиставити асоціального негідника з егоїстичними нахилами, який легко піддається на спокуси, уникає болю й смерті. Вульгарний грубіян чи маніжений красень, безвольний і недисциплінований, боягузливий і розбещений — хай всюди і в усьому він правитиме паралеллю позитивному персонажу. Тільки не треба перебільшувати. Бо інакше цей негативний образ не стане попередженням, засторогою людині з чутливим сумлінням: а я хіба не подібний до нього? Страх постати у своїх же очах боягузливим, нечесним, внутрішньо зіпсутим — це велика рушійна сила в діях тих героїчних натур, про які я вже сказав і на яких ми передусім маємо орієнтуватися під час нашої пропагандистської кампанії. ”
