I assume other sorcerers of her strength would have powers on the same scale as her, but they'd also take similar measures to keep their power hidden from everyone.

As for the second answer, yes, she meant Falada: like Cordelia says in the epilogue, once Falada was freed from Evangeline's spell of obedience, he instantly turned to revenge. As for whether it was a spirit or a demon, it seems to me that it doesn't really matter to the story: it was a malevolent creature from some other, distance place, regardless of the name attached.(less)
