    Description

You are a highly qualified, sharp-witted astrobiologist named Yasna. Being entangled in a space race, you and your crew end up on the unexplored planet Regis III. The scientific journey quickly turns into a search mission for lost crewmates. Follow its trail, but be fully aware that every decision you make can bring you closer to danger.

On her journey, Yasna will face decisions that will shape the outcome of the story. Help her make difficult choices and witness one of 11 possible endings to the deeply philosophical story.

Discover fragments of what’s lost and report to your Astrogator. Let his voice aid you during hard times when humanity’s greatest threat emerges. The latter will force you to rethink mankind’s ambitions and biases. Go on - make decisions, follow the mystery… but remember not to underestimate the brutal simplicity and brilliance of evolution.

Robots, people… Choose whether to interact with different creatures on Regis III or how to do it. Friend, companion? Enemy? You never suspected what these words might really mean before you got here.

Immerse yourself in the atompunk atmosphere by using various tools, such as a telemeter or a tracker, and drive a vehicle through a stunning landscape. Experience realistic interactions with analogue technologies in a retro futuristic timeline.

The Invincible is a first-person game based on the motifs of The Invincible - an iconic novel of the world-known, hard science-fiction author and Polish futurologist Stanisław Lem.

There are places like Regis III, not prepared for us and for which we are not prepared for. Still, our spacecraft inevitably comes closer to the destination - for our stories and fates to cross in a dead spot.

    An epic sci-fi adventure

If you don't mind slow paced walking sims and you also like hard SF, philosophical themes, and atompunk (retrofuture) aesthetics then you will most probably love this game. To be honest, it kinda reminded me of Firewatch (which is an awesome game too ). Great graphics, moody music and a fascinating storyline based on "The Invincible" book by famous Polish writer Stanisław Lem. Note: This not an adaptation of the book's plot - it's a separate story that takes time in the same timeline and location (planet Regis III). I'd recommend playing the game first and reading the book (or comic book) later. It's a great tribute to Stanislaw Lem. The developers nailed it, they delivered an awesome game. I fell in love with the game when I played the demo a few months ago. It was worth the wait. Sci-fi and Lem lovers, go get this game. You're in for a treat !

    60s hard sci-fi walking sim

There is practically no action, it's slow, there's a lot of talking and pondering and it is the best hard sci-fi game that I've played(I was born in 84, to give you the idea of my age) I'm certain my teenage son would hate it and most younger players will hate it as well. This is not about epic, action or crazy twists. You learn what's going on through methodical study of your surroundings and uhh some other stuff, tho if you've read the book there will be no surprises. Some people complained that it's hard to figure out where to go and which rocks and ledges are interactive. I have not run into that problem. The path forward is always obvious in my experience and the game itself is very linear. It's really not much of a game overall, more like an interactive experience, but a great interactive experience Also I should mention that I've always hated walking simulators and haven't played any of them for longer than an hour, I just get bored. This one though is different. Visually it's alright. It's not cutting edge graphics. There's no ray tracing or gi, or any of that fancy stuff. There's DLSS/FRS and some settings. I hit 4k/144 easily, but I don't count, since I got a 4090. However, it's extremely atmospheric and visuals do a great job portraying this alien world. So, to sum up. If you like 60's eastern block sci-fi(Lem, Strugatskis etc) you will probably enjoy this game. If you've actually read the book, you will enjoy seeing the world of Regis III come to life, but there will be no big surprises for you. If you're looking to noscope mobs, parkour over the rocks and collect tons of loot, this is not the game for you

    Worth for the atmoshpere alone

NOTE: ***for some people game crashes a lot, to make it run 100% stable just add -d3d11 parameter to the shortcut REVIEW: I'll go with STORY, WORLD and GAMEPLAY: STORY: It is a prequel to an absolutely great novel. A good prequel in my opinion. It is not as deep as Soma but touches the same topics and leaves you thinking after you finish the game. If you finish the game and liked it, you should definitely grab a book or an audiobook to see what happened next ;). Plus it is a great novel that had a huge positive impact on me as a human being. Don't be afraid of it, you won't regret it WORLD: Imagine the world where people got smarter, more educated, tougher and learned to respect each other 10 times more than we do today. Then they dropped all the nonsense of information era and just went to explore space using the 60' technology on steroids mastering the nuclear power and secrets of antimatter. Then you got Lem's world and after that you realise that this world is probably better than our current own one. GAMEPLAY: It is a walking simulator. Not too linear because there are a few ways to connect all the pieces togheter. There are also a couple of endings. I discovered 4 of them so far. So yes, it is an interactive novel to be true just like Soma without danger. A few minor bugs exist nothing game braking. You can also get lost in a difficult terrain a few times. Alien planet exploration is not easy after all ;) For me a solid interactive novel, if you like its atmosphere and theme buy and enjoy 5/5

    Beautiful SciFi story

I did not expect much from the game, I love SciFi and have read the book it is based on. I got pleasantly surprised with a really well paced story, beautiful scenery and overall great experience ( game runs well, no game breaking bugs present in my playthrough...no bugs at all to be honest, IT JUST WORKS). There are some nice conversations in the game, your choices matter. If you haven't read the book, the ride will be even better! I highly recommend to give it a try as it is a well made experience.

    Not everything is for us

The game perfectly reflects the atmosphere of Lem's novel of the same name. I recommend it, it sends shivers down your spine.
