Founded in 1996 by Alex de Ras and his friends Marco and Danny (hence MD&A), the group soon topped the hardcore charts with ‘Braindead’, making it all the way to Dutch national television with the accompanying video clip. Live hardcore drumming After a hiatus of several years, Alex rebooted the name in 2012. Inspired by legends like araabMUZIK and Marc Acardipane, he introduced 100% live fingedrumming into the hardcore scene. Going viral in 2015, when he drummed a full hardcore liveset at Defqon.1 for the very first time in history, he ramped his carreer ultimate heights. MD&A played at all major events you can possibly think of: Thunderdome, Masters of Hardcore, Defqon.1, Decibel, Dominator, Mysteryland, Q-Base, Ghosttown, Harmony of Hardcore, Oldschool Gangsters as well as many venues across Europe.
