Mike S.

Mike S. (real name Chris-Maico Schmidt) is a German techno DJ and producer. He played his first DJ sets at the age of fifteen. In 1991, inspired by artists such as Tyree Cooper, Frankie Knuckles, and Paul Simpson, he turned towards techno-house. Until the end of 1993, he performed regularly in clubs around Stuttgart, including Skylab, Oz, and Splash. In 1994, he became a Friday resident at the Cave Club in Salzburg. Around the same time, Mike S. co-founded and co-owned the Stuttgart branch of the record store and clubwear chain Delirium, as well as the label Suspect Records. This period saw numerous releases in collaboration with various partners, among them on the legendary Harthouse label.
