Yunks, AKA Yunks From The Mountains was born and raised in the Venezuelan Andes. His passion for music ignited at a young age when he began playing the violin and percussion as part of the Symphonic Orchestra of Mérida. Influenced by his family’s diverse musical tastes, particularly his sister’s, Yunks discovered hip-hop culture and embraced graffiti as his primary form of artistic expression. Today, he continues to explore different creative avenues. As Yunks expanded his cultural horizons, he encountered the rave scene during high school and became immersed in the raver community. His foundation in electronic music started with drum and bass, raggajungle, and neurofunk, eventually broadening to include house, techno, minimal, break beat and electro.
