Nordic folk music and powerful female vocals come together to form the foundation of Saija’s sound. Captivated by the energy and atmospheric depth of Nordic melodies, she was inspired to weave these influences together with progressive psytrance—blending cinematic soundscapes, classical string arrangements, and ethereal vocals into a style that resonates with her Northern heritage. SAIJA began behind the decks, where she built her sound through creating edits, and crafting mashups. But over time, she realised there wasn’t enough of the music she wanted to play—so she started making it herself. Her sound blends progressive psytrance with Nordic influences and classical instruments, bringing together driving basslines, tribal rhythms, and string instrumentation.
