The Sun on the Tongue unfolds in an expanding universe of philosophical reflections on love, art, war, nature, and human existence. Etel Adnan, the internationally celebrated writer and visual artist, crosses genres and continents and centuries in the volume’s plays, literary texts, poems, and extended interview. Three plays are included in the volume, two full-length and one monologue, which also features essays on Pina Bausch and Paul Klee, a songbook, a poem on Mayakovsky, and other writings. A selection of Adnan’s paintings and drawings is also included as an 8-page color portfolio.

This event is free and open to the public.
