    Spectrum 6, like all of the other volumes in this series, is a spectacular collection of the previous year's best sci-fi/fantasy art. The editors did a great job making their selections. Because I bought this a few years after it was published, looking through it was a bit like taking a trip back in time. It was nice to see again art that I'd nearly forgotten about.

    If you follow printed illustation, done by hand and color media or by computer, the Spectrum series is a must have. There is no subsitute for this type of printed material! I enjoy the the finished product of the many fine and infuencial artists, and the upcoming artist presented in this annual publication. The work is specific to themes, type of printed media and medium and well organized for the new or experience amatuer and professional. I appreciate the work of the editors and artist who contribute to this artist's eye on the world of science fiction and fantasy art. There is really nothing else as good as the annual Spectrum issue. You can not make a mistake based on the work you are exposed too.

    Like I have written about Spectrum #5, this issue is good, but not one of the better ones. As I have stated before, the art and print quality is outstanding. The production is also good in that the editors place similar type pictures on one page (or pages). My peeves are that many of the pictures are printed too small (would prefer fewer pictures printed in full page mode), and that many of the same artists appear in every issue. Other than that, these are great books that any sci-fi/fantasy/horror art lover would want.
