    I read this book when I was young and really enjoyed it. Though I had forgotten most of the storyline, it stayed as a fond memory. I bought it again and was most glad that I did. It reads as a novel in itself, lots of action, and lets the imagation see clearly the story as it unfolds. I am going to order the set of the Elrik novels because I liked it so much, lol, and I don't really even like to read books.

    I dunno how but I lost my original copy of this book, and have the previous 5 still. Amazingly even though it said "used" and was only a couple bucks, it was in BETTER condition than all the previous 5 that I still own, and I take good care of my books! I was very impressed with the quality, and glad to read through an old favorite again that I'd thought lost forever.

    "Stormbringer" is Moorcock at his best. If you like graphic novels you'll love this too. The imagery is vivid, and the story tight. Moorcock's style when this was written will not appeal to some modern readers of fantasy, but if you like Howard's Conan, be prepared to switch loyalties.

    The Elric saga is what so many modern day fantasy Hollywood blockbusters are based on...this is the one and only original by Michael Moorcock with beautiful artwork by Michael Whelan (reminiscent of Frank Frazetta) if you are lucky enough to find one of the "pulp trash" paperbacks from days of yore.
