April 2020Nice novels. Frankenstein is amazing
- Bewertet in Deutschland am 25. Januar 2000Three classics books, three classic monsters, and three classic stories that have been told and retold time and time again, all here in one great book! I'm sure you Horror Film fans like me have seen the Boris Karloff Frankenstein, the Bela Lugosi Dracula, and the Fredric March Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, but if you haven't read the original novels...YOU AIN'T SEEN OR READ NOTHING YET! Buy this book now, you won't regret it!

5,0 von 5 Sternen excellent edition
N.B this is a review of the SIGNET CLASSICS three novels in one - Frankenstein, Dracula, AND Dr Jeckyll. Seeing as amazon mix up all the reviews of different editions into one, which makes life VERY confusing for people like me who need to read a review of the SPECIFIC EDITION.
Ok, that sorted, all I wanted to say is this is excellent value as has the three classics under one cover, each numbered accordingly i.e you finish one, the next novel starts at its own page one, there are no notes and other academic apparatus (for me a blessing), and there's a short but sweet intro by Stephen King. The usual Signet small-sized binding, type of paper, and rather large font filling most of the page (my least favourite thing about these editions i confess), make this an ideal book to have for travelling/carrying around, as well as for reading or even (absit nomen) studying, without taking up much room at all on yer bookshelves. Definitely a wise choice.

5,0 von 5 Sternen Love this collection!
Three great novels in one for a low price that really can't be beat! Love Frankenstein, the story of a scientist who wants to break all the rules of science and then run away from his child the moment it is created. Just another deadbeat Dad whose lack of parenting causes a hell of a temper tantrum on the part of the monster. Dracula is great for those who want to read about symbolic sex and true seduction. See what vampires are really like when they don't sparkle in the sunshine. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is a great moral warning for those who want to cross the laws of God and also want to sin without feeling guilty or having to take responsibility for their actions. Sinners beware - science is the pathway to destruction.

5,0 von 5 Sternen Dynamic Trio
For this value, this book is absolutely amazing. Not too bulky, maybe the size of an average hand (thumb to pink) in width, it is a great value with good pages and binding.
These three horror stories speak for themselves, but put back to back like this is truly a treat.
Frankenstein, to begin with, is the original Frankenstein before the movies got to him. A story of revenge and betrayal, with many other themes of feminism and creationism intertwined.
Dracula, a monster that needs no introduction is a great continuation to this monster fest as is Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hide. Definitely worth the buy.

La version anglaise me semble une traduction
En anglais d’une traduction française! Mauvaise Anglais presque pas compréhensible.
