How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Companion Book to the Dark Prince
Format: Mass Market PaperbackVerified PurchaseIf you read the Dark Prince first, then this book is both a prequel and a sequel to that story. The various Clans of Kindred (Vampires) in San Francisco battle each other for power and manipulation of the Kine (humans). Characters from the Dark Prince (by the same author) make appearances in this book but some "behind the scene" activities in the Dark Prince are spelled out in a much greater detail here. This is an enjoyable read as well as a background for the Vampire the Masquerade fiction series.
