    Information includes such things as contemporary recipes for dishes that Harker describes and contemporary travel reviews of the cities he passes through. Contemporary maps give you a sense of the space the novel takes place in. Drawings such as the type of carriage used cements the image in your mind. All this research was done in the early 70's and it must have been a monumental undertaking in the age before the internet.

    If you are interested in the novel, which is reprinted from an original printing, you should pick this up. It really is chock full of things that make the book worthwhile.

    The classic book is not changed at all from its original form...and I mean that not only regarding the story but the text looks like copies of the original book pages. Each page has annotations...defined terms, what the foods are made of that they eat (we would have no clue just by the names), pointing out pivotal parts of the narative...or you can ignore it and just read. Yes, you can get Dracula for free on your Kindle but this book breathes so much more into the story.

    If you are a student this will guarantee you an A.

    My family has owned and loved this book for over 40 years and I just recently bought my own copy of it.

    I highly recommend this if Dracula is your cup of tea.
