Founded in 2006, our site provides a public reverse-lookup service for widely known hash algorithms such as MD5, SHA-1 and SHA-256.
We built a large, fast index of pre-computed plaintext–hash pairs to help users recover forgotten passwords or perform legitimate security testing. A subset of queries is offered on a paid basis, while the majority remain free.
The process is fully automated: we do not store anything beyond the lookup request itself, and the service does not involve any cracking or offensive activity.
