STUDIO RENTAL POLICY:
All sessions must use a WAM-certified engineer. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, our studio offers accessible, subsidized rates to support our mission to advance women and gender-expansive individuals in the recording industry by providing opportunities to earn professional engineering credits. Please respect this policy. Outside producers are welcome, but the actual engineering (setting up microphones, touching the gear, turning the knobs, etc.) must be performed by a WAM-certified engineer.

HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION?
First, fill out the online WAM Session Information/Booking Form.

All sessions are led by WAM’s professional staff engineers — not students or interns. You’ll be working with experienced producers, mixers, and recordists using high-end gear in acoustically treated rooms. Supportive, inclusive vibes come standard.
MUSIC SESSIONS
All sessions include a WAM engineer. 50% deposit required to confirm booking, full payment required before files are released. Working on a larger project? Contact us for bundle rates on recording & mixing.
Half-Day Session – Up to 4 hours (minimum booking) – $350 (WAM Members: $280)
Full-Day Session – Up to 8 hours – $600 (WAM Members: $480)
We offer remote, unattended mixing for stereo and Dolby Atmos at flat per-song rates — contact us to talk about your project!
PODCASTS, VOICEOVER & AUDIOBOOKS
All sessions include a WAM engineer and remote director/producer/guest patch-in via Zoom or Riverside. Full payment required to confirm booking. Studio time must be used in one consecutive block. Contact us for project rates for editing services.
Standard Podcast Session – Up to 2 Hours Studio Time (minimum booking) – $250 (WAM Members: $200)
Podcast Half Day – Up to 4 Hours Studio Time – $400 (WAM Members: $320)
Turnkey Podcast Episode – Up to 2 Hours Studio Time – $650 (WAM Members: $520)
Two hours of recording plus full editing & final mix. Intro/outro/music integration (client-provided). 2 minor revisions included. Broadcast-ready MP3 + raw files delivered. Audio only.
HD Video Recording Add-On – $100 flat per session
Two Blackmagic 4k Plus G2 cameras are available to record your session. Raw HD footage delivered (client must bring hard drive). We can only support static shots — no switching, editing or directing included.
AUDIOBOOKS & VOICEOVER
WAM engineers follow the text along in real time to catch flubs, movement noises, mark pickups, and ensure smooth, accurate delivery. Whether punch-and-roll or longform, this rate reflects the focus and detail required to deliver clean, publisher-ready files. Includes script marking, iPad for talent’s script, and remote patch-in.
Voiceover Session – Up to 2 Hours (minimum booking) – $300 (WAM Members: $240)
Audiobook Half Day – Up to 4 Hours – $500 (WAM Members: $360)
Audiobook Day Rate – Up to 7 Hours Recording* – $700 (WAM Members: $560)
* 1-hour lunch break is built into the full-day session; total studio access is 8 hours.
ADD-ONS & SERVICES
Add-on rates are flat and not subject to WAM membership discounts unless otherwise noted.
Additional studio hours – $100/hr (WAM Members: $80/hr)
Extend your session for extra tracking, overdubs, or mixing.
Vocal tuning & editing – $75/song
Pitch correction, timing adjustments, minor comping outside of standard mixing.
Unattended mix revisions – $50 each
Applies per song, per revision round after any included rounds are used
- A revision round is a single consolidated set of mix notes (e.g. “turn up vocals,” “less reverb on snare”)
- Revisions do not include editing, tuning, arrangement changes, or adding new stems — those are considered part of a remix or additional production and will be billed at our standard hourly rate ($100/hr)
Session recalls & old project stem delivery – $25/song
- Quick re-delivery of already bounced files (i.e. no additional work required) is free within 3 months of project completion
- Additional work beyond a simple stem bounce (mix revisions, remixing, editing) is billed at standard session or revision rates
Session streaming via Audiomovers – $50 flat per day
Real-time remote listening and feedback, streaming link provided.
BOOKING & PAYMENTS
MUSIC SESSIONS: For Indie Artists & Individuals
- Half total booking payment required in advance to confirm bookings
- Remaining balance due before files are released
- Payment via credit card, debit card, or ACH
Cancellations & Reschedules
- 72+ hours before session: Full refund or free reschedule.
- 24–72 hours before session: 50% refund or one-time free reschedule.
- Less than 24 hours: No refund.
Package Sessions
- No refunds once the first session is used.
- Sessions must be used within 3 months of booking otherwise agreed.
- Package sessions cannot be prorated or transferred to other clients.
For Corporate Clients
- Net 30 terms available with approved PO/contract.
- 10% late fee applies after 30 days.
- New clients may be asked for a deposit prior to service.
CAN WE GET A TOUR OF THE STUDIO?
Sorry, at this time we do not have the staff to provide studio tours on demand – we cannot interrupt our clients’ recording sessions. However, we have quarterly open houses which you are welcome to attend for a brief tour. To find out when our next open house is, please check our Eventbrite page. We have an extensive amount of photos of the studio on the website.
HOW DO I GET MY FILES/DATA?
If you are not mixing your project at WAM and will be taking the multitrack files, you must provide an empty, external, USB-A or USB-C, Apple OS X-compatible hard drive before the end of the session so the files can be transferred. We track in Pro Tools Ultimate and will deliver the session file and the audio files in that format. If you need the files prepped for mix elsewhere on a different system, that process may require booking extra time if it is an extensive project or many tracks. Make sure you budget sufficient studio time in your session to back up your files. If we have to book extra time beyond your session to deliver or backup files we will have to bill you an additional $100/hour to do that with a 1 hour minimum. Keep in mind we cannot interrupt another client’s session to transfer your files.
I AM UNDER 18, HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION?
We love working with young artists! Minors must have the permission of their legal guardian before booking a session and the legal guardian must arrange payment. There must be legal guardian present during the studio sessions. If the legal guardian cannot stay for the full session, they must be present at the beginning of the session to give permission for the artist to be there, and must pick up the artist at the end of the session.
SMOKING/ALCOHOL/DRUGS PROHIBITED IN THE STUDIO:
Please respect that our facility is a smoke, alcohol, and drug-free zone. Women’s Audio Mission reserves the right to deny access to our premises and services to those clearly under the influence of drugs or alcohol or who don’t respect our studio’s policies.
NO Pets: Due to consideration of others, WAM studios do not allow pets.
