e-Pulse

e-Pulse (e-パルス e-Parusu) is a type of electrical signal born from human thoughts and emotions in Digimon Beatbreak. It existed long before humanity was capable of perceiving it and can be used to empower Digimon, including inducing evolution. The company that first discovered it, coined the term "e-Pulse", and began researching it was Urban Protocol Co., the predecessor of World Union. Becoming a Perfect or Ultimate requires a tremendous amount of e-Pulse, so only someone with considerable power may reach it[1], though this can be side-stepped by farming e-Pulse from many other people instead, at the cost of causing an unstable evolution.[2]
Digimon require e-Pulse to survive. A Digimon that can't consume e-Pulse will steadly weaken. Digimon can consume a human's e-Pulse either willingly through their Sapotama or unwillingly by absorbing it directly from them; the latter case will eventually cause Cold Heart until said e-Pulse is returned to them.[3][4]
e-Pulse can vary significantly depending on the user and their emotional state. Older people can't produce enough e-Pulse to sustain a Digimon.[5]
Black e-Pulse (黒いe-パルス kuroi e-Parusu) is an e-Pulse produced through negative emotions. It can drive a Digimon berserk.[4] Black e-Pulse can cause evolution, but the evolution may go berserk[6] or the Digimon evolved may have their personality heavily warped.[7] Berserk Digimon under the effect of Black e-Pulse have glowing red eyes. Black e-Pulse can be triggered by accident[4] or on purpouse.[6]
Certain humans have unique e-Pulses, either from birth or due to their growth in life. Tenma Tomoro's e-Pulse is a strange one that causes Sapotama to glitch and is very attractive to Digimon.[3] In the past, Sawashiro Kyo's e-Pulse was heavily affected by anger even if it didn't drive Murasamemon wild, while in the present it has become mixed with the "colours" of the other members of the Glowing Dawn.[2]
A person's e-Pulse can be measured using an E.M.D. (e-Pulse Measurement Device), which gives them scores in five categories: control, stability, capacity, strength, and speed. So far, only the Tactics have been shown owning one, which is used by Seraphy Naito.[8]
